As bad as I feel for him, Zero did have the communities reaction coming, in the sense of not being allowed on tournaments or just people being disappointed in him in general, given that he lied multiple times until he properly admitted but the main thing I find appaling is this 180 the Twitter crusaders are making. Most of the people calling the Smash community out for being too hard on him are the same people that were still making Smash pedo jokes recently. Look no further than Pyra mod that had Twitter still bring everything up and get their panties in a twist over a tit jiggle mod for fictional characters

I'm starting to see people say "The smash community almost drove Zero to suicide like they did with Etika!" and i'm laughing at the absurdity. Etika was not a child predator guys. Everyone who once said "Zero had it coming" are now like "why must we drive people to suicide for little mistakes like this? We were the real monsters all along!"

Of course, this isnt a pure black and white thing, i'm only saying that Zero only made his situation worse everytime by trying to play the victim. Banning himself from tournaments (he stopped going), "punishing himself" by deleting twitter, making a huge unrelated google doc about his own abuse, etc.

You're not going to convince others that you feel guilty before convincing yourself. I do feel pity for zero but it's possible he was trying to "go down like a martyr" which is kinda messed up. If Zero was actually feeling terrible, then he should've either dedicated everything on helping others, join a church (lol?) or throw himself in jail, which might've give him enough peace of mind to not try suicide.

Either way, the people unironically saying shit like "Zero truly redeemed himself with his botched suicide!", now those are who we should be laughing at.

I seriously don't get people fully blaming the community (even though they act like an idiotic autistic mob at time) when ZeRo himself was guilty himself and admitted it after three Twitlongers (the first two denying everything and telling about his sad background). The dude himself wanted to virtue signal against others that had accusations come up and only admitted it when the evidence started becoming too big to ignore.

I'm not surprised out of everyone with accusations and cancelled over them, Zero would be the one to attempt suicide. The guy came to the US to play Smash competitively, and retired to go into streaming content. With Smash, sponsors, and streaming gone over what he did, what was he going to do? The guy had a history of depression, no major job skills, didn't finish high school, major sources of income gone and his friends turned against him.

I get not wanting him in the community, but what exactly is the guy gonna do?
