I've just started working my way through Season 1 and I'm loving the fuck out of this show. You can tell the creator worked with Armando Iannucci because this too turns insults into an art form. And with Season 2 premiering today, I figured it's perfect timing for a thread.


 
I watched at least most of the first season.

It's like... arrested development with more real stakes... kinda?

It's certainly interesting, I'd like it if it were a bit funnier, but I'll keep watching probably.

It's got an old man who keeps getting confused and pissing on the floor. Maybe that'll get some people off the fence?

Now see here, you! Even the addition of a they/them diversity freakshow character to the plot (and the inevitable bullshit that goes with it) hasn't ruined the spectacle of Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis chewing scenery like delightfully manic, industrial-strength wood chippers.

The show is just fun, man. The most fun of anything on TV, for my money. (I pirate that shit, tho.)
 
Brian Cox looks like someone the writers are planning to die fairly soon.

He seems like a nicer person than `Sean Connery also.
 
I'm up to S2ep2 and I'm still not sure if I like it. It's well acted and written but fuck me it is unrelenting fucking dark. Maybe I shouldn't be binge watching it. I also can't decide if I find Shiv hot or not.
 
I started this show a few days ago, I'm at S1E4 and holy shit. I'm a huge fan of In The Loop and this show just encapsulates the whole stress of the high society media conglomerate circles with amazing dialogues and characterization.

Compared to the Witcher TV show that uses 'fuck' every single sentence, whenever they say 'fuck' in Succession it carries a different meaning and weight every single time.
 
I was hoping more fellow kiwis watched this show considering these last few episodes have been golden. Hoping some other posters come here instead of dealing with reddit "Greg and Tom are gay for each other " bullshit.

If you randomly click on this thread having never watched the show you need to watch it. It's always funny. There hasn't been an episode without a decent one liner . Same creator as peep show just rich folks.
 
I'm catching up now, just finished episode 2. Line of the season so far:

"it's like 'Jaws'... If everyone in 'Jaws' worked for Jaws."
 
The shows ok, but once you realise all seasons(except this last one due to obvious reasons) follow the same formula, it detracts from the enjoyment.

Oh, we have a thread for this show! Nice, because I fucking love this show. Tis entertaining and really good. I'm currently going through season 4 and shit has gotten real now that Logan Roy has died. They kept teasing it but they finally fucking did it
