So Mr. Yannis Varoufakis whats the solution ? is there anything we can do ? or is it that we are doomed but atleast we know cause of our death ?
Well, 'doom' is all about perspective. The civilized world has undergone apocalyptic events in the past: The collapse of the Roman Empire, the Black Plague, the Scourge of the Mongols, Genocide....each provided benefits beyond what could be seen or predicted.
I'm not saying society is going to completely collapse and we're going into a mad max hell-hole. What is really important is the aspects of timing.
The first real push should have came in 2008, where we held the financial industries responsible, nationalized major banks, shut down investment firms and jailed people for their entire lives. This was the biggest chance to strike a blow against the elites and their cronies in the government. If Occupy Wallstreet had been like the Civil Rights movement back in the day: Organized, Professional, a strike force assailing these people from all sides with unconventional tactics that couldn't be defeated by a fat cop with pepper spray, I firmly believe we'd be entering an era of prosperity akin to the 1950s and 1960s, with much lower racial animus, division between parties and the like. Would we be perfect? No. But we would be a more cohesive, prosperous society with less human misery.
The whole thing about solutions is timing. You need the right leaders, in the right place and the right time. 2008 was in. You had a major disaster that put every 'smart elite' looking like a major fucking retard because only a handful saw it coming. That was the time to attack and hammer them constantly, break down their credibility, expose them as the degenerate gamblers they were and maybe even dole out life sentences.
It would have been a chance to pass actual, major reforms with a weakened opposition for the elites to restore an equal balance between personal wealth and state wealth, so one never got over on the other.
Instead, rich white people brought all of their pet causes, derailed the entire processes and basically made jokes out of themselves. Anyone with good ideas was cast out. Obamas first issue wasn't the economy....it was healthcare, which probed to be a huge fucking mess that basically caused a lot of problems. No prosecutions, investigations or any real punishments.
This was the best chance, and it was an abject failure. And the problem is still the same. You have to look at the Civil Rights movement, the Gay marriage movement. They succeeded because of pure ideological cohesion. While elites and billionaires are disparate forces typically working against each other more than with. That's why these movements succeeded. They were impenetrable walls, united in one, for one goal, for one ideology against a myriad of competing ideologies which they stamped out one at a time.
All following civil unrest has not even taken on single thought from these previously successful movements and is even more divided than the elites, so they fail.
We've passed by all the good opportunities. Divisions are slammed into us every single day as the world grows more greedy and absurd. We're forced now to be on the back foot, and I doubt if we can form a cohesive enough wall to resist the money being thrown at us.
So I think fighting will be the right place at the right time with the right people, and the stars align for it. And even if we're too late to prevent all of this, knowing we're doomed and why is knowledge on how to survive and move to safe places and safe areas.
I'm not saying society will be destroyed. I'm saying the longer this vulture capitalism goes on, the harder the fall will be. And knowing that allows you and your loved ones to soften the blow. Its not a black pill, its just history. It depends how the end comes. It could come with a whimper where we undergo another lost generation like Japan, or it could go with a bang where we experience a soviet union-like collapse with the US breaking into satellite states. We're not quite at the level yet, and I think more opportunities will present themselves. However, we are fucked if we don't properly seize them and hold people to the fires to the real enemies: the billionaire class.

@Secret Asshole: The whole situation reminds me of Uncle Ted's idea that late stage industrial society (as he called it) would be forced into forcing the proles into bugmen life in order to maintain itself, or wind up simply collapsing. IIRC today it's AND instead of OR-the gorillionaires are forcing buglife onto the proles in order to desperately wring the last wealth out of them, while burying luxury bunkers in New Zealand as boltholes for when people have only their chains to lose by rebelling. IMO the gorillionaires see the End on the horizon, and want to wring the last blood out of the rocks before bugging out to their self-sustaining bunkers just ahead of fed up proles burning Western Civilization to the fucking ground because they have literally nothing except chains. Everything the gorillionaires do that appears nihilistic is just them trying to go from 97% of the world's wealth to 110%, then fleeing while saying "good luck motherfuckers, we have everything and you have nothing, so whatcha gonna do?"
If from my study of histroy, the elites taking everything and running and hiding never works. They're always hunted down and found. And the bugmen life is just a very serious symptom of capatalism on life support, which is inherently unsustainable. The only surefire force in the universe is entropy. Everything decays. They can try to do this, but the fall will be all the more hard for them and will result in their bunkers being pumped full of carbon monoxide and them left to rot.
And even major disasters have had positive impacts on society. The black death, which caused so much misery, was responsible for ending feudalism. The Mongol hordes opened up new trade routes and technology to Asia. The competition between Communisim and Capatalism fostered an age of unparalleled technological development. We do not know the beneficial unintended consequences. So its best to keep an open mind.
And just remember: Nothing is forever. Everything dies.
