Streets of Rage 4 announced

I bought the DLC and it comes highly recommended. It adds so much more to the game. I especially love Survival mode and the new special moves. The new special moves kind of fix the problem where characters don't have a dash -not unless you use Adam- which was appreciated. Plus you can use the redrawn version of Max who is my favorite Streets of Rage character.
Well, almost all SOR4 characters have a dash. Floyd doesn't, but 1) he wasn't meant to be fast anyway but rather a brute strength character that can fling enemies like nothing, and 2) Floyd's alternate offensive (forward) special hits long range and MORE than makes up for his lack of mobility, allowing him to extend combos from a distance without having to use a star

No one is going to comment that the name of the black dude is Floyd?

Best I got in the Survival mode is level 37 with Max. BTW, they buffed the Streets of Rage 3 characters so they move much faster when they dash.

I got all the way up to level 40 in Survival mode. I'm surprised the achievement for it tops out at 30. At level 40 they just throw pretty much every single boss at you.

I cannot believe that I actually love a DLC that adds an endless survival mode (a feature I will usually ignore like I ignore boss rush modes) to a game that has a campaign... but I do.

Some of that is because of the killer soundtrack by Lee Topes (who has instantly become someone whose work I will follow forever). But mostly it's because the main draw of Streets of Rage is that the most basic of gameplay is thoroughly enjoyable. That's been true of all the games in the series until now, and the new developers did the impossible and stuck the landing with their first attempt. Truly impressive.

My only complaint is that I immediately wanted even more content. (Also, stop being pussies and give us Ash as a playable character.)

I was hoping for branching paths like in SoR3, maybe some unique dialog with certain characters. I don't know if they're going to release anymore DLC, but here's hoping.

Still killer DLC otherwise though. No regrets picking it up at all.

Nice, the highest I can get to in Survival mode is at level 37. I think it’s because due to achievement hunters will throw a fit especially the casuals who will play the game just for the trophy’s and achievements to add in their collection had trouble with the clear all stages S rank on Manic. I remember people DM’ing me on how I got all S rank with no trouble even though stage 4 and stage 9 was tedious due to jump kicking Garnets and Kickboxers combo breaking my score to A rank and even after getting to level 20 on survival you’ll get thrown off guard quick with those glow red enemies with big damage and the random environmental objects especially on the gladiator stage.

It filtered me but good, having your whole score zero out when you get jabbed is pretty lol, don't think I'll ever be doing that

up + punch + start unlocks Roo if you missed that. Still no Ash?

This is Mayhem Brawler, it's coming out in a few weeks:

It's apparently about white police officers beating up minorities and degenerate punks in masks, so it's got that much going for it.
