Honestly, if her friend was so bad, she should just not talk to them. It's simple. Just ignore them and move on. If her parents really want her to hang out with that person, she needs to not be dramatic and just say hey, they make me feel uncomfortable and I would prefer to not be with that person. I'll find another person to hang out with. That way she doesn't sound like a brat. Win win.

I can't really blame her parents for not taking her concern seriously. I mean she also complained to her dad that Boxtrolls was a "problematic" kids movie cause there's a cross dresser in it.
Act like a child and make childish things a big issues and people will stop taking your concerns as actually important.

Yeah, she hasn't made it entirely clear if her parents even know what went on. I'm sure she's hoping someone will suggest that they don't, so she can through a fit about how she totally told them and they totally blew it off completely.
The thing I find the most suspicious about the whole situation with her ex-friends is that she has a lot of very general complaints that sound very bad but don't necessarily mean anything, and a few very specific ones that she keeps harping on. Like, she constantly mentions the way they "used" her and forced her into situations she was uncomfortable with and stuff, but the one thing she keeps bringing up is that they lied to her about their lunch period. That's rude, but doesn't sound nearly as serious as the stuff she won't elaborate on. I suspect that the specific incidents are the only ones that actually occurred, and the vague ones are Kayla re-imagining things for Tumblr.
(Also, can I just say I find it completely ironic that Kayla pitches a fit about two of her friends having sex on her bed in high school... and now is perfectly fine listening to her partner and "qpp" have sex on Skype?)

While Kayla's mother seems like a pretty chill individual, her father strikes me as someone who simply refuses to put up with bullshit, which is in direct opposition to Kayla's goals and why she views it as abuse.

I don't have any direct evidence of this, but it seems as though Kayla's parents are still married. Does she not realize how rare that's becoming in the US? Yet she's perfectly willing to simultaneously throw her parents under the bus while living of the convenience of a (seemingly) stable household.
I'm not going powerlevel, but let's just say I happen to know several people who got a job (sometimes two) out of high school just so they can spend more time away from abusive parents/step parents. Staying at home and being a mooch was an unlikely scenario for them.
But hey, being upper middle class does not automatically = privilege, according to Kayla Logic. She's suffered hard, with her loud brat brothers, her caring mother, and her stern father. A moment of silence for this dark, tragic backstory.

But seriously I doubt that if she actually endured anything that falls into the actual range of what constitutes abuse she wouldn't be the whiny guvking pussy we see here today. Instead she will scream from the mountaintops that her family not taking her little outbursts seriously is on par with emotional abuse, that a nasty teenage boy groping her (which is admittedly gross if it actually did happen, so potential for +1 sympathy) is on par with a child enduring sexual slavery (or for a more middle class American frame, incestuous parents/siblings/etc), and other such nonsense. While those precise words don't leave her blubbering maw, the implications sure as hell are there.
I'd say she needs a slap across the face, but that would only help her perpetuate this crud.

I've been on the Kayla Train since the beginning so I am entitled to sperg.
It's also funny that her experiences are so traumatic, she has no problem dismissing other abuse victims. The kid who posted Greasetrap's callout, complete with proof, was called a liar and bullied until he had his very own Tumblr breakdown.
I know I bring that up a lot, but it's the best recent example of her crap. If you go back through bpdgat she was crying suicide and threatening people ad nauseum, but she's been much, much more tentative since her last big meltdown on hpdcatherine because the kiwi lens is on her. She had to stop lying that way because she looked a fool and we called her shit. Now all she has is vague and indeterminate abuse claims against everyone under the sun, because we can't as directly call her out or deny those. Which is fine, that's not really what we are here for and she is funniest at her most self-righteous.
There's been people here talking about how they are resisting the urge to power level, but think of it this way, my dudes. She has a dedicated audience of about three identical tumblrinas who all tell the same stories she does, and then there's us. She's having absolutely zero impact on the world and has no real people in her life. She's never had a real friendship because they're all ABUSIVE TRAITORS who got tired of catering to her. So power-levelling and sending her frustrated asks is screaming into a void. Let her do her own thing and laugh at it.
Just remember: she has decided to wear lingerie to San Japan. She has an imaginary friend she is dating. Those are the big things in her life. Kayla isn't Brianna Wu, who at least has a modest sphere of influence. Kayla is just kinda Kayla (or as I like to call her, Tumblr-Connor) and that frustrates her more than it does you.
You don't need to power level. I pretty much guarantee every single person registered here knows what a Bad Day really looks like (except me I'm perfect and handsome and everyone loves me).

She's really chimpin' out today.
I'm still no sure what she's angry about. Is she mad that the friend took her somewhere she was uncomfortable with? (Understandable if not nearly as awful as she makes it sound) Or is she mad that the friend decided to go have sex with the guy anyway (which is petty and creepy.)
