Kayla, if you actually want to get some of those messages you crave, you MAY want to consider reaching out to the (entirely too many) Kiwis who've shown you some sympathy and tried to give you advice. Be humble, admit your wrongs, and pledge to better yourself (and actually attempt it), and you MIGHT just end up with a few friends who mean something.
I've yet to see this many Kiwis actually try to help a lolcow out. You can try taking advantage of it, or just keep rolling in the shit, your call. Either way, I'm going to have a blast watching, and poking with a stick.

I did some quick research. County health departments in most states offer free to negligibly-priced psychological services. Yes, they share a building with the court-ordered alcoholics and anger management people, but the rest of the staff are trained psychologists and psychiatrists who help people of all ages cope. And they have a good reputation for it.
The help is out there.
But hey, no one wants to take those steps. Too much effort and it'd end badly anyway, right?

Maybe it wasn't about you, Kayla. Maybe he was having a bad day and he just snapped. Maybe he feels the same way about social interaction that you do and your inability to process social cues and his inability to express them ended up with some crossed wires.
