@Stray Sheep if you can prove that you are trans I have no problem at all calling you sir, he, him, etc. and I'm reasonably certain that @Delicious Stickmeat feels the same. One of my very first friends is a Transman (and hey! Incidentally is also in the Houston area) and I'm very respectful of his wishes. I doubt you'll be misgendered if you can put in effort towards appearing that gender and acting like it. In fact, I'll take this a step further. So, you were discharged from the military in boot camp for a mental disorder. Was this a mental disorder prior to enlistment? Are you sure? Bootcamp commanders are famous for using the "condition prior to service" card to weed out recruits that have problems that surface during boot camp, and said ELS separations often get flipped to medical discharges under appeal.

Did you know that if you have a medical condition that surfaces during boot camp, the 180 service day requirement is waived for VA benefits? Did you know that VA can handle both transgender care, and a myriad of mental issues? Did you know that the person talking to you is adept at navigating VA and Board of Corrections red tape, and has helped 4 other prior servicemembers in the same boat amend their records and get care?

@Stray Sheep When we didn't know where you lived you cited a lack of public transportation as a reason why you could not access mental health care. Why did you lie? Katy has a fantastic bus system that will take you to Houston which has the biggest medical center in the US. They have a LBGT center in the Montrose that offers free mental health care to members of the community.

You must be thinking about a different part of Katy. There is the Metro Park and Ride, but the closest stop is super far from me.

Don't forget just hours ago mentioned having the ablity and funds to get Uber service.

What is it with lulzcows and not driving....it's like a universal.

I have enough money for one Uber trip, since I have a 25 dollar discount on my ride there.

I am currently working on getting my permit, but I need a time when my parents are free to take me to the DMV.

I mean, for all you know, it popped up because the unbearable stress in boot camp messed you up.Wouldn't be the first recruit this happened to. I'm doing a whole bunch of winking and nudging here to get a point across.

Now, had you not lied to your father, it's entirely possible that, being an older and wiser gentleman who has been around the world, he might have known more than you and got the process started.

You really need to grow up. Let this be your wakeup call, it's time to be a grownup and not a kid anymore.
