The Duffer bug chasers wrote the scene specifially for that Schnapp faggot. It's gay pandering to the extreme. It's fucking disgusting.
IIRC they did an interview where they said they always considered going down that route because when they first cast Noah Schnapp as Will they thought “this little kid is giving us major fruit vibes. We could work that into the show to add more interesting subplots and good character development down the line if it turns out he is”.

I just thought it was poorly executed. Like he should have just confessed to his mom and Mike and I thought that’s what they were going to do! They set it up perfectly even! Then suddenly Will’s like “lol no wait go stop everyone doing whatever they’re doing to prepare even though we’re in a time crunch to save the world, so I can come out to EVERYONE, including people I’ve never actually been seen on screen with.” It just didn’t make sense.

Anyway, anyone else refreshed by the lack of troons? Can’t remember the last time a show got away with having plain lesbian and gay cis characters and not forced to include a dozen other different flavors of the rainbow.

No?
What the fuck have you been watching, dude?
Faggotry is everywhere, but trannies are in very few shows. I can't even remember one besides Euphoria.

Última edición:
The choice of having this kind of scene right before the final battle is jarring. Vecna could be merging worlds right at that moment, and Will stops and grabs everyone, not to give a motivational speech or vital piece of insight, but to stammer out that he likes men. Could this not have happened on the car ride over? The scene itself wastes runtime in an already bloated season and undermines the stakes at hand.
I blame Steven Universe for the trend of "hey, let's undermind the greater, overarching plot for some stupid bullshit that doesn't fucking matter".

That’s because in the 1980s your local one was literally a big hairy man in fishnets and a flowery frock with a granny purse, who the whole neighbourhood of kids knew to avoid and made up stories about.

In fact if Stranger Things was realistic, this would be the baddie. A good ol’ fashioned 1980s’ one.

Even they knew they couldn’t slip in one of the ‘cool’, new brand of them. In the 1980s that just wasn’t a thing. Now that would be some sci-fi if they attempted that.

Troonism has fallen out favor HARD in today's culture, but faggotry shit still lingers, a lot. But it's the only reason this is getting shit on. People hate it and want it back to the 80s level, stay in the fucking closet and shut up faggots and die of AIDS.

Troons are an unsafe element to sprinkle in without making the entire plot about them. There is no winning. Not only do normies get turned off (like the writers care), but you cannot, can not write a troon without trannies flipping a bitch. Cast someone who isn't a tranny? Reeeee how dare you steal a transwoman's job. Cast a tranny? Ugh, wow, who's this offensive stereotype of an orc in a dress. And so on.

I wish the coming out scene weren't so many of the things it was. Shameless actor self-inserting the reaction to a dramatic coming out he wishes he had. Way too public for something supposedly so personal. Halting the story for what felt like 20 minutes on this moment that somehow managed to contain zero information for the audience and also moved the character nowhere in his bipolar bouncing back and forth between pity parties and insane overconfidence he's been riding all season. You can squint and see where the writers were reaching to make it plot relevant, which is astounding in this season of so much random exposition and plot holes.

Also I actually started laughing at "exotic matter". Yeah Dr Brenner, a man plainly mystified by and curiously exploring this alternate universe in the first season, not only knew exactly the physics behind multiverse travel, but also had some star trek tech in his prison wallet that he threw together in a couple months to stabilize this fresh rift with *nobody aware of this*. Wow this season got stupid so fast.

Have only watched 1.5 of the Christmas episodes. No one said shared trauma in the 1980s. The faggot's coming out scene was a waste of time. That faggot actor has really detracted from everything since growing up. Its like he really got molested by vecna

The "shared trauma" line completely threw me out of the scene, setting, and story. Back in the early seasons, I don't know that the dialogue was ever successful in replicating 1980s Midwest vernacular, but it at least didn't sound out of pitch with the 80s. This season isn't even trying. A lot of the dialogue sounds confusingly modern, or soap opera-tier at worst.

I could keep picking on Robin as the worst offender of this (and she is), but even Hopper and Joyce sound distractingly different. Lots of dramatically stating the obvious and emotional narration, with dull camera work. It gets close to bathos at points. The back-and-forth between Kali and Hopper over Eleven in one of the recent episodes just needed the camera to zoom Telemundo style on their faces and the effect would be complete.

Can't wait for the final episode seething.

I don't like ST. Season 1 was a 4/10 for me. There was a scene in Episode 3 where teens where having sex while a fat woman was screaming in the upside down. The scenes switched between her screaming and the teens (which were boring as hell characters). This was fucking retarded.

I feel a bit of Schadenfreude that the Duffer hacks ruined season 5. There were also 2 or 3 plagiarism lawsuits against them for ST. The chances are high, that they have stolen the idea.

It took me out when Lucas said, "My bad". Nobody said that until the internet age.

I remember that being one of the things people praised about the original series. That everyone (but especially the kids) talked like they were in an 80s movie.

I hate this trend of making everyone speak in current popular vernacular, but ESPECIALLY popular internet vernacular. People in real life just don't speak that way.

I think its unheard of a "hero" like of Max to leave the younger kid in danger and for her to escape to see her loved ones. A true hero would have lead the younger kid to safety, sacrificed her future, and then have the younger kid to come save her mentor.
