Is this what it’s like to watch Game of Throne’s finale live? Way too many cooks spoils the pot.
Yes and no. There was an understanding with GOT that it was going to take a dip in quality. GOT was coasting off of prewritten stories for a long time but as they approached the ending, they simply ran out of material and writers who spent 6 seasons never improvising suddenly had to. Which is a tall ask. Nobody was prepared for just how bad GOT would be though.
Here, the Duffers just made many bad choices over many years and now it's coming home to roost.
once Steve is fully established there's no point in Jonathan at all.
This is one of those bad decisions. It's like nobody ever told the Duffers they can have their cake and eat it too. You like having Jonathan on set? Just give him a smaller role and have him make an exit for a job internship or go to college or some BS halfway through the season and give the character a break. Not everyone has to be involved. They can be there in supporting roles and have impact and not be the focus. Instead, the Duffers were hellbent on having these parallel plot lines where everyone was involved and forcing them to blend together regardless of whether it worked or not.
I know it's the whole "price of fame" thing but i genuinely feel bad for women in Hollywood nowadays. They've are just expected to be skeletons
Ozempic did women in Hollywood no favors. I think this is going to become the new norm honestly.
The frazzled, heartbroken, and worried mom arc in the first season made perfect sense
she was always a bad actress, but back in the 80s/90s being the hot topic love interest means you didn't need to do much besides snark in monotone.
In the first season Winona was asked to be a frazzled, heartbroken, worried mom hellbent on saving her son. In the second season, Winona was asked to be a frazzled, heartbroken, worried mom hellbent on saving her son. In the third season, Winona was asked to be a frazzled, heartbroken, worried mom hellbent on figuring out why her magnets don't work. In the fourth season, Winona was asked to be a frazzled, heartbroken, worried mom hellbent on saving her lover from the Russians. Yeah it's not hard to see why she stopped giving a shit after season 1.
I made this same joke earlier about the slug thing.
Wonder how badly the brand will be damaged if they stick to killing off Eleven and keep her dead. I could see them trying to make a martyr out of Will so they can say he's like a Gay Jesus sacrificing himself.
I don't buy Eleven dying. They can set it up all they want, but it ain't happening. They'll probably do the Kingdom Hearts thing where everyone dies in the first 40 minutes and then Will will go back in time using his Wizard powers and undo it to save everyone.
