Still confused why they showed Mike's mum willing to cheat on her husband. Didn't do anything for the story other than make her look a cunt.

The showrunners love taking small moments that were popular from past seasons and inflating them. In S1 Eleven likes Eggos, in S2 she's obsessed with them. In S2 Erica has a small role as Lucas' bratty sister, in S3 she plays a much bigger role in the plot. In S2 Billy and Mrs Wheeler have a ~moment~ of sexual tension played for laughs, in S3 it's blown up into a pointless subplot. Then there's Steve as an entire character (don't get me started on how dirty they did him this season).Still confused why they showed Mike's mum willing to cheat on her husband. Didn't do anything for the story other than make her look a cunt.
And wow did it do a great job of that.Still confused why they showed Mike's mum willing to cheat on her husband. Didn't do anything for the story other than make her look a cunt.
They're dentures. Why he doesn't just keep them on like his actor, I don't know.OK, so didn't Dustin get teeth in Season 2? Now he has no teeth again. Did I miss something?

One thing to keep in mind: This is set in the 80s, so maybe they did things differently back then. A friend of mine has a cleft lip and he got the final surgeries and stuff done in his 30s, since back in the 80s and 90s, the medical opinion was to wait for the jaw to fully develope before they start working towards closing the gap (which is done by using a piece of your hip bone). Back then, they thought introducing the transplant bone might cause issues with the jaw developing... nowadays, they get to that surgery during early childhood, since apparently, it's now understood that it greatly improves quality of life for the patients as well as not having any downside to doing it as early as possible.Dentures.
My guess as to why he didn't keep them in? Because of the condition, he probably has to have frequent dental appointments to check on the development of the jacked up teeth that may come in, and have his these oral apparatuses adjusted just as frequently to accommodate for things. He went to camp for however long (a month maybe?) and it was advised that he should not wear them until he gets back and gets his teef checked out and update his mouthpiece to prevent complications. And, since the season takes place over the course of a few days, he hadn't had opportunity to make it to the dentist (or whatever specialist he'd need to see) yet.
I dunno. I agree it was weird that he didn't still use the dentures since it was a pretty big point to his character in season two.
Damn, and I thought I watched shows and tried to discuss them late...As usual, I'm three years late to the party. I finally started watching the show yesterday. I'm only a few episodes in but I can say for certain:
1) Benny from the first episode is a sweetheart and I'm genuinely upset that he died.
2) The banter between the kids is great and feels pretty natural.
And
3) Jonathan, personality-wise, seems like a very sweet if massively socially stunted kid. Unfortunately for him, he looks like every single visual stereotype of a school shooter combined into one human being and it's almost distracting. I like him, honestly, but his appearance never fails to get a chuckle out of me.
Well, better late than never.Damn, and I thought I watched shows and tried to discuss them late...
I can't believe they made Hopper into a borderline incel smh.
eh it didnt really fit DbD, speaking as a non player (but whos been meaning to get into it) The multiplayer survival horror just felt off for stranger things. If anything the series needs a point and click adventure game in the spirit of shadowgate or uninvited.BTW it's being removed from Dead by Daylight. Supposedly Netflix is going to do something in the gaming sphere soon which would explain the removal of the license.
