Few random things:
One of my great grand parents fought off an eagle in a brewery that was harassing a kid. Got a mention in local paper.
One of my grandfathers drove Ed Sullivan around (not sure if one time or many).
One of my grand or great grand fathers owned (or was high up) a bus company in New Jersey before NJ Transit existed.

I have some but they're mostly how white trash my family was back in the day. Like apparently one Christmas, while getting the tree, my mom, grandpa, and aunt, had to go on the bus with the tree because they didn't have a car. And also how my grandparents who not only smoke pot in front of my mom and aunt when they were little kids but they would also let them have a few hits. Ah, to be raised by former beatniks during the 70s.
