Someone wrote that Garnet and the mailman can never happen because "Garnet is basically dating herself".
Uhm no! A transformation results into a new being with an own personailty.

So it's possible that she can end up with the mailman.

I don't even watch SU but a quick search on non tumblr SU sperg sites gives you lots of information.

And sometimes it works, like with Lapis. Other times it doesn't, like with Peridot. He's not stupid, though. Just naive and very friendly.
Okay, I've been watching more episode and came to the conclusion that he's still stupid.

A naive person is someone who screws up because they lack experience.
An idiot is someone who never learns and keeps on screwing up.

Why does this kid keep messing with Gem tech and Gem magic unsupervised when it almost always does nothing but cause trouble?

Why does Homer Simpson keep messing with the technology in the nuclear power plant?

Because the series would be boring if there wasn't any trouble. If it wasn't Steve it would be another character who does stupid things.

I think it's great that SU is subversive and has space lesbians and all that shit, but people on the Tumblr fandom clinging the show to themselves with a death grip and basically screaming "NO, MINE" If other groups of people whom they don't deem worthy are fans of it annoys me to hell and back.

They didn't do that with the Legend of Korra, which was similarly stereotype breaking, so why now? Is it because it's more kawaii so all the tucute-types can grasp onto their fictionkin identities and all the clearly non-autistic people can peg Pearl as Autistic? I have no idea, honestly.

Also, any fandom that harasses the creators is instantly deserving of no sympathy from me.

This is how Tumblr thinks every fandom works. They think a fandom means you get to decide who does and doesn't consume media and get to scream at people if they like what you do. It's why they hate new fans so much, it doesn't work like that to them. You can't enjoy more than one thing without filling out twenty different forms and being scrutinized by a panel of judges on whether or not you can enjoy something.

Sort of off topic but you know what's ironic;
How neurotypical people on tumblr have these autistic headcanons for characters( ESPECIALLY in the Steven Universe Fandom) and when there are millions of autistic people being screwed over by either families or the government everyday they do/say nothing about it, when they try to help other minorities like PoC and LGBT all the time. (Which isn't a problem, just once again, Ironic)

Then again, I'm probably giving tumblr's concept of reality too much credit

I've mentioned it before. They always will say "OH SO WE CAN'T FOCUS ON TWO THINGS AT ONCE, HUH" when you point that out to them, which is hilarious for multiple reasons:

  • They actually don't focus on anything but cartoon-related activism
  • They scream at anyone who dares to suggest that there are many groups in need of assistance
  • They scream at anyone who suggests that helping multiple groups isn't discriminating against a certain group by not giving them all your effort.
So yeah, it's bullshit.

Tumblr? Bullshit?
Ya don't say!

I baffles me how they can take NO joke. Nearly everything is triggering or offensive or racist and so on.
Fart jokes are offensive, men in dresses are transphobic, family jokes are somehow about incest...

It's not that they can criticize these things like normal people. Nope! they are "triggered", they claim to be shaking, they "crytype", they harass the creators and they never forget.
Disappoint them once and they will still bring it up months or years later.

I can understand being offended. I could understand why the Uncle Grandpa in a dress would be offensive if it went like this.
"EWWW! Why are you in a dress? That's gross! Only girls can where dresses, unless you're a weirdo!"
But that's not how it happened. It was a 2 second joke.

I can somewhat understand why people would be seethingly angry at the UG crossover episode. Here they were enjoying a cartoon that went to great lengths to be subversive, and they throw their entire sense of well-being into the fact that it's subversive, and all of a sudden fart jokes and a man in a dress appear. The thing is though, if you're not a child then you sort of have no right to claim that you feel "betrayed", because the show was not intended for your audience.

from what I gathered, many young kids loved the UG crossover, so stop taking away that enjoyment, damn it.

You'd despise the Ava's Demon in that case, Megahertz. I find them to be neck-to-neck against the SU fandom in the case of terrible Tumblr fandoms.

Sounds horrible.... I'm gonna go look it up. :D

SU had a running fart joke in the two part Lapis Lazuli episodes, which was basically the season 1 finale and revealed a lot of stuff. Didn't see them complaining then.
