Summer sale 2026 currently going on, pimp your hidden gems and good deals!

Barony 1.99 USD 1st person nethack. Dungeon crawler roguelite with 4 player coop. If you like imsims like ultima or even Hexen/Heretic this might be for you. Hardcore RPG systems both approachable and fleshed out.

Rain World 2.49 USD Cinematic platformer focused on survival in an post apocalyptic world as a creature low on the food chain. Beautiful pixel art, simulated ecosystems of alien flora and fauna. Very difficult but is absolutely worth the journey.

Cruelty Squad 1.99 USD Fast paced movement shooter crossed with Hitman with the aesthetic of an acid trip. Fun to play again and again, with a few bonus modes and difficulties and tons of loadout options theres tons of replay value in this already fun game.

Bug Fables 6.99 USD Like the first 2 paper mario games? You'll like this. Good sense of humor, expands on the battle system with a 3 man party and has really good pacing and variety.

Assault Spy 3.99 USD Anime Devil May Cry, a campaign you can clear in about 2 hours, 2 different characters with the main one resembling dmc's Vergil and the other playing more like Bayonetta, for a first indie outing it's pretty solid.

Tried to pick games most people probably never heard of and more people need to play.

Última edición:
I will be biased toward my favourites of course, but I highly recommend:

Unloved (Based on an old Doom 2 mod. FPS With roguelike stuff. Good for anyone who just wants an FPS to play a few rounds with)

Infra (You play as a Finnish engineer who, during his rounds, discovers a massive conspiracy beneath the city)

Rabi-Ribi (Metrodivania/bullethell bunny girl game)

Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (Basically a retread to earlier Castlevania games like Symphony of the Night)

Like Clay (Pretty strange horror game about finding a cult's working in the basement of an apartment building) *Not on sale, but only a dollar anyway

Dreamscaper (Similar to Hades, but less flashy. Has awesome music and aesthetics, however).

Sylvio (Really cool and unique horror game)

Crosscode and it's DLC are one sale. An amazing action rpg, great music, fun combat, and a nice story. If the game were an mmo, I would have thousands of hours in it.
Binding of Isaac and all it's dlc is on sale for about 5 bucks. There is basically infinite content in this bundle and the game is damn good.
The first entry of the Trails games is on sale and the series has a lot of games so it's a series you can build on with each game you play. JRPG with a tile based combat system and an ever increasing world.
Judge eyes is 70 percent off and it's really fun. If you want to try Beat em up RGG games for the first time but don't want to commit to all the Yakuza games, this is a fine starting point.
Spelunky HD is on sale for under 4 bucks. Honestly I prefer this to the second, it's a hard roguelike platformer from 2013.
All the Lego Batman Games are 5 bucks together. Really only worth it for LB 1+2 as 3 was shite, but it's still a good deal.

Gigabash is a great Kaiju fighting game with quite a bit of licensed dlcs for those who want them. Downsides in my opinion are that the playerbase isn't very big, and they don't have a generic single player campaign for the dlc characters, only ones for original ones. They do, however, have game modes that you can play anyone in against the AI if you wish.

Far as I know, only game that has both Godzilla and Gamera and isn't a mobile game

Some 'big' games I was waiting to pick up in a sale:
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. 2,99 Eurobucks.
Undertale. 2,49 Eurobucks

Games that I actually played and love:
Disco Elysium. Show that you're not as retarded as Null for 3,79 eurobucks.
Call of Chtulhu. Amazing adventure game, nails the atmosphere like no other Lovecraft game does imo. 2,99.
Pillars of the Earth. Visual novel based on the famous novel, extremely well done for such a thing. And it's just a great story set in the 12th century about the construction of a cathedral. Made by a German studio so they put in one (1) melanated person who should not be there in Chapter 2. 1,99.
Blacksad. Under the Skin. Pretty good point-and-click/visual novel kind of thing, based on the comics. I had fun with it. 3,99.
Fran Bow Point-and-click horror adventure with great art. Escape an asylum as a little girl. 4,49.
Little Misfortune From the same studio as Fran Bow. Little Misfortune goes on a little adventure into magical realism. 5.03.
Lucifer Within Us. Really unique detective game that is unfortunately way, waaay too short to pay full price for. Good for an afternoon, basically 3,07.
Dreams in the Witch House. Time-management point-and-click game based on the Lovecraft story, I've been playing it a lot trying to get all the endings and it is very comfy. 3,84.
The Darkside Detective. Kinda simple but very funny point-and-click adventures about a Detective and a Cop who solve supernatural mysteries. 6,25.
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow. Point-and-click adventure set in rural Victorian England. A messed up woman attempts to uncover the mysteries of Hob's Barrow. 5,62.

Picked up The Saboteur. I've heard its supposed to be pretty good, kinda like Assassin's creed in ww2 Paris. Usually gets some positive recommendations when its brought up elsewhere.

Was also thinking of picking up The Isle because I've been into dinosaurs lately 🧩

Holdfast napoleonic-war era PVP FPS/TPS (switchable). Recently released US revolutionary war. Absolute blast. They've made playing custom music as musicians much easier and you haven't lived until you've defended a hill against the british while a 5 piece band plays "Blue" by Eifel 65 with banjos, horns and drums.

Game is $10. DLC is for skins n shit you don't need unless you just want em.

Eh, the story's pretty rote, it's obviously undercooked in places, and it has shitty diceroll mechanics. That said I can't blame it as I'm convinced all games set within the Mythos proper (e.g. Dark Corners of the Earth, The Sinking City) have been cursed by the Outer Gods to never quite live up to their potential.

Fair enough. I can look past the flaws because I really dig the atmosphere and feeling of the game, it just really works for me. But it could have used more development time, even I can see that. For 3 euros/5 bucks it's pretty good though.

Okami for 10 eurodollars. If you haven't already played it, why? Absolute gem of a game especially if you like Japanese mythology. It plays like a 3D Zelda game, with a combat twist of painting special moves like cherry bombs or thunder strikes. Relatively linear with some mild backtracking if you want to 100% it. It's one of my all time favourite games.

Fuga - Do not be turned off by the Kemono art, little tail bronx is a universe / multi francise series that it is part of. There are several instalments in it with Tail Concerto dating back to the PS1, Solotarobo for the DS and the Fuga series. You don't need to play any previous little tail games with Fuga 1 2 and 3 all being their own story in the universe and set years before previous games.

Good gameplay if you like turn based JRPG combat with strategy, Story is does not really hold back on it very much being about a group of kids in the middle of a war and overall a pretty good story with cool world building/setting.
Its Cyberconnect2's true passion project simply made because its what the devs really want to make, they just use other games so they have the funds to do it.

Damn it's been forever since I've used steam:
Hades is $6
Starjew Valley is $9
Hollow Knight is $7
I know nothing about rougelikes but I've been recommended them for a while. Oh and Stardew too I guess

I'm considering Undertale, TBoI, and other story based games but there's no reason not to just pirate them tbh.

Damn, is the game active? I've seen memes about it but never knew what it was called
