Fucking FINALLY I was looking for a functional Buck Breakers link for a while now. Also Rapesector I'm pretty sure works fine on 0.98 just by changing the version number, but I hear the..."meat" ship (never really used that mod more than once for testing, but it looks like a meat version of a modded ship I vaguely remember) is a bit buggy and prone to crashing.
Oh and uh, there's a bug in the Buck Breaker's file, in the variant folder one of the files has an accidental space. Backspace it.

Haven't heard anything regarding malicious code in a while, would have raised a big stink yet again in the community. Worst thing I've heard as of recently is the cancer that is Signalis has spread to Starsector.

i'm seeing the changes and they are pretty okay-ish? although him buffing escort package is funny because it was already a mandatory s-mod anyway if you like to see the AI drive, especially if you used luddite ships.

although conquest speed buff will make it brutal, all TRVE AND HONEST starfarers know the conquest is just that fucking good, better than the toilet seat.

Element/Matrix really should be what everyone vaguely not-PC uses in place of Discord. Maybe use a bridge bot if you really have to, but its mere presence seems to imply 'troons not welcome', which is a good thing to be able to subtly indicate.

I mean, it lets you send messages, and that's enough for the use-cases I've seen. Even IRC would be perfectly sufficient for 90 percent of the things that have a Discord.

it'd be outright better. Discord has a kitchen sink of features but all that does is fracture discussions and make zoomy retards act like it's some kinda pseudo social media ocean of shit.
Outside of maybe modding stuff that at least kinda benefits from the half-assed threading (but should all still really just be a forum), I'm pretty sure every single shitty "server" I've been forced to join would be vastly improved if it consisted of a single focused channel to drunkpost in.

I also feel like IRC was ironically a lot more social even on big servers by simple virtue of the fact that you had to actually read and pay attention to who was talking and saying what to whom, but maybe that's just me no longer giving a shit about anybody.

The forums probably wouldn't allow a rapesector thread, nor a Buck Breakers thread. I think tech support for things like that is a neat fit for Matrix. IRC would work too, if it weren't too intimidating for the little zoomies.
