The beautiful starfield made by todd howard can also run in borderless windows at ultra quality with 36 frames per second in my newest Radeon VII graphics card, without any bitch bastard frame generation, saars.the new terran armada DLC makes the starfield look as beautiful goddess Lakshmi herself, saars.
good morning saars.

meanwhile the invasions piling up doesn't seem to be fixed yet, god damn it to-, ops, emil, you fucking hack.

Kindly thank you, saar for the lovely promotion of the Starfield.

For voice acting to work, you need an actual character and not a generic faggot. Voice acting is fine in your Deus Ex or your Witcher games, because you're playing a specific person and the voice actor has something to actually act with, instead of Rando McMyBabyIsGone like Bethesda gave us. And the voice actors for the Fallout 4 MC were perfectly good actors but you can tell they were given basically zero direction because the line delivery is all over the place because the MC has no actual character beyond [Yes] [No but actually yes] [Sarcastic yes].
It's funny that you bring up Deus Ex because Elias Toufexis was originally voicing the player character in Starfield until they decided half-way through the development that the character should be silent.

I'm curious why the hate for voiced player dialogue? If anything the choices dialogue menu was the worst because a lot of the time an answer would be something completely different than what you'd expect (the sarcastic line for example)
Because its meant to be an RPG and I don't want to play as someone with that voice. It really limits how much roleplaying you can actually do if every character is just Brian Bloom looking for his stolen kid. Choosing to give more good, bad or sarcastic replies overall doesn't change anything, it's still the same guy, the guy that Bethesda wrote. Not MY guy.
For an extreme example: a chaotic evil, low intelligence, high strength brute character certainly doesn't work with that voice.

Obligatory New Vegas fellatio: The only commonality between any new character in that game was that you were a courier and you got ambushed, that's it. Everything else about your character is entirely up to you, and the absence of voiced lines means you have the freedom to mentally impose any voice you like upon them, instead of more Brian fucking Bloom. It also meant that the dialogues could have more than only 4 replies and they were written to suit an array of personality types rather than just friendly, angry or sarcastic Nate.

Edited Fallout 1 fellatio: If you went with a very low intelligence character, you could only grunt like a retard and most NPCs would dismiss you. Contrast this with Nates personality never changing no matter what you do in FO4.

Edited for relevance: Starfield blows ass.

I'm currently about half way through the main quest and I spent a bit playing around with guns at the shooting range on Akila. I've seen the videos on how Starfield guns are weird and have too many moving parts but it finally hit me as to why those kind of things bothered me: a lot of the firearms in game are meant to be used in vacuum or near-vacuum conditions. Weapons like the Kraken and Maelstrom have opening panels to expose heat sinks to space, same with the Eon and AA-99. Even stuff like the Laredo weapons have exposed parts that would conduct heat away from the mechanism, as do most of the Combatech ballistic weapons like the Grendel and Beowulf.

That's not to say that the weapons are entirely sensibly designed. Most of them are wildly over-greebled, to be sure, but there was some attention paid to how firearms would feasibly function in the vacuum of space and I can appreciate that as a life long space nerd.

I'm still baffled how easy it was to fix the copy paste accusations and they still blew it.

All they had to do was make a couple thousand POIs and have a dozen or two be intertwined (IE you only see one after encountering another) and the 'no content' stuff would have vanished. Yeah the main quest would have been dogshit, the faction quests would have still been bad, everything about the game would have still been terrible - but the average normie would have been entertained enough that they could have gotten away with it all.

Like how settlement building captured a lot of people's autism despite FO4 being a shit game at its core

You are talking about Bethesda, they can't be bothered to make complex things, it's too much work (somehow). Remember how they fixed the square shotgun animation? They removed the shell casings entirely and called the ammo "caseless".
I wonder what they actually do all day at Bethesda. All these employees and subcontractors and it still takes ages for them to patch Starfield.

They attend meetings to discuss a potential request of a contractor, who then after being hired holds a meeting on which jeet gets assigned the work, who being a jeet does fuck and all.

You know, kinda like how Arrowhead just goes on vacation constantly and outsources all the patching for Helldivers 2 to whoever delivers the lowest bid. The vacation situation is so fucking bad with Swedish game devs that Paradox's hardest-working office is in fucking Spain. Somehow after botching the Leviathan release for EUIV Johan got the siesta-havers to work harder and better than the Swedes up in Stockholm.

Speaking of Elias Toufexis, he's now complaining about gamers having a problem with woke games.

Wow, they have finally released a new patch that fixes the major incursions spawn. 2 fucking months later...
Still have the issue with the infinite loading screens. People on the Steam forum told me that it might be related to a mod but sorry, I can't play this game without mods.

Why are you wasting literally any of your life playing this irredeemably shit garbage?

You'd benefit way more and have more fun from another modded Skyrim/Fallout New Vegas/Oblivion playthrough.

Saarfield is the most soulless game ever made.

Is that even possible?

Isn't this a procgen game with endless radiant content?
Most of the achievements are tied to the main quests or unlockable just by playing (reach level 100, build one outpost, etc.). A few of them require you to do something special like collect all the action figures, that one might be a pain in the ass if they are random (I have not looked at this one yet).
