Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

This Klingon psychopath’s big idea during the Attack on Sector 001 was to kill everyone aboard his own ship. The only reason he didn’t is because Picard beamed the survivors out mid-ram.
Worf is like LoGH's Bittenfeld. No strategy, no tactics, all "drive me closer, I want to hit them with my sword".

It has come to my attention the ship is out of torpedoes. I have already ingested matter, now shove antimatter up my ass and fire me out the tube so that I might explode at them!

To be fair the explotion created by a warp core breach ramming inti the cube at top speed would have taken it out and saved earth and the Defient's crew is less than fifty so it does make military sense.

Some things work better when they're vague and mysterious and sparingly used and will get ruined when there's too much exposition going on. Star Trek did the same to the Borg tbh. But it's not only Star Trek even, it's a thing that happens a lot if writers don't know what to do anymore, because of how tempting it is.
One of my favourite episodes of TNG is I, Borg because it manages to take a different look at the Borg and expand them in a unique way that doesn’t contradict (well, it does, but in a smart way) their nature. After the Best of Both Worlds, there isn’t much left for what to do with the Borg, and if you do bring them back most writers would just try to up the ante like in First Contact where they can now time travel and are going to assimilate the past, but I, Borg decided to take the Borg and remove their most defining characteristic: the collective. From there, the episode beautifully explores the nature of the Borg from a new angle, and shows that they too can adapt. I love the way that Hugh wins the crew over one by one, starting with the friendliest like Geordie and Crusher and finally getting to Picard by simply saying “I.” Nothing ever comes close to that when it comes to the Borg post Best of Both Worlds. Then they ruined everything by bringing Lore into it, or giving the collective a queen that wants to fuck Data for some reason.
