📚 Megathread SRS and GRS surgeons and associated horrors - the medical community of experimental surgeons, the secret community of home butchers

While it has been an eventful week to be a pickle, nevertheless, the show must go on - so let's take a look at some proper circus freaks!

Flappy bird: after getting what is meant to be one of the most coveted kinds of top surgery (due to the more camouflaged nature of the scars), a pooner is put out because her surgeon's left behind way, way too much breast tissue. Worse than that, however, is that it's left the shape of her chest oddly flabby and strange.

My chest does not look how I expected. Is this normal?

I wasn't sure if I should mark this as nsfw. Please let me know if I should; to me they still look like boobs, and I've been so dysphoric. The first 3 pictures I took a few days ago, at 10 days post op. 4&5 are from day 3. The surgeons office I have been working with told me I would be getting double incision due to my chest size (bigger B cup), and when I took my bandages off on the 3rd day, I saw they'd done peri. The surgeon marked me before surgery and maybe explained what he was doing then but I didn't understand, and still thought I would be getting DI. I was really shocked, confused and upset when I saw this. I sent them pics and they said it was bilateral seroma. I went in on day 4(?) to be drained but not much came out. The surgeon then said he thought it was leftover tissue, and in 3 months we'd talk about if I'll need a revision. (Which would not be covered by my insurance) Today when I saw him though, he said everything looked normal and he'd be surprised if my chest didn't look like this. He said he sees this in other people with rib flare. I feel like my chest was too big for them to have preformed peri on me. Did anyone else's look like this before healing and then ended up looking normal?

Miss NACkson, if you're nasty: another recipient of the peri top surgery is deeply unsatisfied with her results after her nipple-areolar complex, or NAC, went necrotic, leaving her chest too obviously operated upon for her liking. She's being downvoted to hell and back on r/topsurgery because she wanted her chest to look as biologically male as possible, but when you look at other pictures of her, she never stood a snowball's chance in hell of looking masculine.

Still hate my results. (please read before replying)

Hi, all. I have posted on here a couple times now, I believe. I had periareolar top surgery January 6th this year. I realized immediately after my first post-op appointment (Jan 20th) that my left nipple-areola complex had turned necrotic. I contacted the clinic many times and not once did they confirm that. Only after it had turned into a huge, flat scar did one person working there say it did indeed look necrotic.
I have an appointment to get my left nipple constructed, but it will most likely never look good. My right side also has a huge stretched scar, even though I followed 1KG lifting restrictions for the designated amount of time. I am something people don't even fearmonger about because it really shouldn't be that easy that your entire NAC turns necrotic with peri.
I should've just gotten DI, there's not even any photos of my surgeon performing peri. I am lucky that noone knows what peri even is or what its scars can look like because it hasn't gotten me clocked, but I hate how fucking huge and ugly both my NACs are.
The right areola is still not small and its scar is huge, and the left honestly makes me want to throw up. There is also a tiny amount of numb tissue to the left of my left "nipple" that kind of hurts when I stretch my arms up sometimes.
Please don't tell me it "looks good" and especially don't tell me it looks cis because it doesn't. I was on vacation in a hot place and saw HUNDREDS of shirtless men. No one looks like this.
No trans men even look like this because no one's peri is this fucking botched. Even people with necrosis (extremely hard to even find, just posts about people being scared) aren't this fucked up.

3.5 wks post-op | Mt Sinai

Before anyone says anything: yes, I have already sent pictures to my surgeon to keep him updated.

Anyway so I’m 3.5 weeks out from PIV w/ Dr. Purohit at Mt. Sinai in nyc. Overall I’m loving pretty much everything and I generally think I’m recovering well. Dilation has been painless and the bleeding stopped after 3 weeks. I’m able to put the last dot on the purple dilator all the way in and I’ll be moving up in the next few days. I’m not sure if it’s tmi, but I’ll say it anyway since sensation is something I was expecting not to have until like 2 months later. It’s actually really sensitive and it’s kind of an issue that I can’t do anything until I’m cleared at 6 months (not that I have anyone lined up 😭lol). I am not sure whether that’s just a me thing or if that’s common for Dr. Purohit’s patients. My nerves after ffs took over a year to get back online and some tiny spots still feel a bit numb but idrc. I had some wound separation but that’s been healing nicely :) I’ve been instructed to apply Manuka honey to the separation and it’s been closing up lately!

So far, I only have a few gripes with my results. I did electrolysis for 9 months and completely cleared the surgical area, but kept the remainder because I was told it would look more natural. They scraped my follicles but didn’t shave the rest during surgery, so I’m desperately waiting for the day when I’ll be able to shave down there 💔. Aside from that, I’m not exactly sure what’s going on with my labia minora. Based off what I can conclude, it looks like parts of my labia minora are falling off or something. I can’t tell if this is necrosis, granulation, etc. Haven’t been able to find any pics of what necrosis or granulation even look like. There’s no pain or anything, but it’s pretty hard to look at and I just want some ideas from any of y’all. In the last pic it looks like the grey tissue has spread underneath the swollen part above it. I’m worried it’s going to look so bad „once it heals”. 😓 I’m not sure how visible it is in the photos/video, but it’s pretty asymmetrical (mainly in the labia minora). I know it’s still early, but (again) I’m just worried.

Regardless, I’m really happy that I was even able to get this surgery this year, and my dysphoria has gone down SIGNIFICANTLY. My pants fit so much better (even though I tucked consistently, and it definitely became a little harder for my brain to say „you look like a man” when I’m looking at my reflection.

Please let me know your thoughts on how my recovery is going. I’m kinda on my own here when I’m not messaging my surgeon. I’d love to get some opinions specifically on my labia minora since that’s the main cause for my concern. Thank you <3

I wanna go home with the arma-dick-o: a TiF shows off her remarkably ashy thigh scar that exists as a result of her getting her leg ripped up to make a psuedopenis, leaving it with a texture that reminds me strongly of osteoderms, especially when she flexes it.

Graft glued to the ALT muscle

Hey, here are 2 photos comparing my leg at rest and the other contracted.. I am 2 years Post-op.I feel some discomfort in the red circle, a small loss of range of movement, it's okay, but it's true that I have this feeling of having all the scar that serves me..All areas of the graft are smooth and very flexible.

Speak softly and carry a big stick: a TiF complains about how heavy the weight of such a meat saber is and wonders if anyone else feels a "phallus heaviness" long after getting a rotdog installed. This one is so fucking stupid looking, it feels more akin to a child's cartoonish graffiti than an actual body part.

9 weeks post-op RFF — any tips for wounds, swelling, and/or being more mobile?

I’m 9 weeks post-op RFF phallo (vaginectomy, scrotoplasty, burial, UL) with Dr. DeLeon from the Crane Center in ATX, TX. I’m thrilled with the aesthetic results (5.5 “ prone / 6” now standing) but developed a large fistula in my perineum preventing me from peeing out of my new penis — that’s also led to a lot of drainage and pain where I have wound separation (at incisions below phallus and mid-scrotum) and where I pee (urethral opening below my new scrotum). In addition to drainage, my penis still swells when I stand for too long, feels painful like it’s pulling from my body, and I’ve just developed some new separation/small wounds where it was sutured at the top of my penis/side of my scrotum, exacerbated by the pulling.
I’ve been using a combo of bacitracin and medihoney on the new wounds, and am even trying honey-silver, which is best used for wounds on pets (but seems to get rave reviews for human use too). Nothing is working super quickly and most ointments add burning, instead of reducing pain.
While I’m trying to be patient, it all means I’m propping instead of hanging more often than not, which makes it hard to move around, much less exercise, and takes a mental toll. My fistula fix with Dr. Santucci is TBD but likely still months away.
Questions: (1) did others have this phallus heaviness/swelling long after surgery? (2) did folks generate tears/new wounds near your penis as a result? (3) did anything you used on wounds or separation work/also alleviate pain? (4) if you’ve had any problems like me, how did you pack everything up to be more mobile AND prevent leaks?
And suggestions/support is appreciated. Thanks!

(Update) RFF arm graft 4weeks post op

Update to my prior post on the recovery of the arm graft.
I had my final dressing change by the nurse, this was the dressing that has to be kept dry and stays in place for a few days. The nurse dressed it as best as she could following the care plan from the hospital. This week it was a bit of a patchwork, as there was a very small area that was slough and a strip of moist tissue, as well as the dry section. So an alginate was cut to size and applied to the slough section and inadine patches (about 4) applied to the moist portion. The rest was wrapped with a mepitel dressing. Then gauze was generously layered over the dressings and wrapped in a crepe bandage with light compression.
It has been a few days since the dressing were changed. I have now been given the go ahead to remove the dressings and begin daily showers/ salt baths for the graft site. Dressings are now changed daily by myself.
So the first 3 pictures are from the dressing change over with the nurse. The last 3 pictures are form removing the bandages to begin the daily salt baths

As is their wont, a FTM describes in grave detail how she's holding up after deciding to get a roll of flesh needlessly stapled to her pelvis. OP joins the trend of many a poon before her by using pronouns to describe her bouncing baby boy, writing: "He’s getting squishier! I hope that trend continues, he’s definitely stiffer because he’s ALT but also because of the post-op swelling."

16 days Post Op Stage 1 ALT

Stage 1 (phallus + UL creation, nerve hookups)Stage 2 (Aug 14 - glansplasty and remaining skin graft)
Overall things have been going well during my dressing change after my shower this morning I was a bit worried about the segment of my wound graft that overlaps with integra as it’s starting to look potentially necrotic.
I do have a nurse that comes twice a week and she’ll be here tomorrow. I’ll talk to her and can send a pic to my surgeon, but there’s still 11 more days until my next surgery which is where they will finish the skin graft. I think having only half of it done has hindered the healing but I cannot be sure.
DONOR LEG:Much more mobility! Some zaps of nerve pain throughout the day and night but I suppose that’s better than it remaining fully numb all the time. My knee and shin are still numbish (they feel pressure and everything else registers as pain right now - even just gently brushing the hair on my leg feels like nails scrapping my skin. It’s a wild thing to experience.
I can easily go up stairs no issue. Coming down stairs I still go donor leg first but I’ve started to do some knee bends to help continue to stretch out. I only go to a feeling of stretch, not to pain. I can sit in a chair with my knee bent without stretching or pain. (Before you yell - my surgeon recommends sitting throughout the day as long as it’s not more than 1-2 hours at a time).
Walking is getting easier. It’s only hard because my dressing falls down and I don’t think that’s helping the graft. Also my groin is still swollen and tight.
Swelling in my knee has gone down and it doesn’t really swell up when I’m walking or vertical anymore, which I take as a good sign.
SKIN GRAFT LEG:Honestly. Doing great. 100% flexibility, strength and mobility. No more xeroform or dressings. Now just rotating Aloe and aquaphor and keeping it from drying out. Feels so nice to not have a dressing on it.
PENIS: Some minor wound separation around the base. It’s all superficial though and hasn’t gotten worse. The PA at my post op said I was doing everything right for it to heal fine. I imagine the scar will be thicker on this side but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
The underside looks gnarly but it’s actually not bad. There was some blisters that had developed along the stitches and they went away and now the skin is healing (the brown bits have slowly been flaking off to reveal healed skin underneath).
The tip which had the large blood blister looks the worse but it’s also healing as expected. Not necrotic (thank god!).

Propping is obnoxious, but I’ve pulled the trigger on Separatec briefs to allow myself mental ease when having to go out in public but still being able to prop. At home I pull a Winnie the Pooh and just don’t wear anything while I chill in bed so I can prop and air out.
He’s getting squishier! I hope that trend continues, he’s definitely stiffer because he’s ALT but also because of the post-op swelling. So I’m excited to see how this progresses.
SENSATION:Mostly at the base and still just pressure-based. But I also still have a lot of swelling underneath, on the dick itself and around my thigh. So until that goes down I think any nerve regeneration will be hard to feel. The tip has some erotic sensation but it’s really faint.
MENTAL:Most days I am fine. But I get moments of anxiety and nervousness about pieces of my healing that seem slower than I’ve seen on here and I have to remind myself that everyone is different. I’m REALLY happy the nurse comes twice a week because she keeps me from spiraling.
I have a high libido and the horniness is killing me. Only gently brushing my penis gets me aroused and it’s taking a lot of effort to not do anything.
The first two weeks have felt simultaneously very fast and very slow. I feel like I should be farther along my healing and then I have to remind myself it’s only actually been 2 weeks. Which is NOTHING in the scheme of things.
Side note: my parents are wild. My mom asked if I planned to start working remotely next week since I’m “clearly doing fine” and couldn’t understand why I said I still plan to take at least the full 6weeks. Most days are chill, so it’s not a lot of brain power. But after a day where I push myself more (walk a little more, try to do something more around the house) the next day I’m exhausted and sleep 3x as much. It’s a major surgery, I only give the impression I’m doing fine because I’m literally not doing anything right now so my body and mind can concentrate on healing.

Revision 2.0 help

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask if any of you could recommend a doctor, perhaps in London or somewhere in Germany, who could help solve my problem. I had SRS surgery in 2022, followed by a revision surgery this February. However, when I’m aroused, the erectile tissues swell up and form a sort of lump, which is especially unpleasant in appearance.

I told my surgeon that I was unhappy with the results, and he got offended. The clinic is no longer communicating with me. He said he did a good job.
But that’s beside the point — what matters is getting this fixed.

Do you know of any doctor who is able to remove the erectile tissues responsible for this?

The very first time this tranny went under the knife, it was to get his genitals mutilated in the beautiful country of Thailand by a team of medical staff who barely spoke any English. Now he's ready to show off his results! Personally, the distinctive shape of his... er... ""inner labia"" certainly remind me more of a bun than a hot dog, so I'll give him that.

Day 7, 10 days, 4 weeks, 40 days ( 4 & 5) - PPV Dr. Theerapong @ Interplast Clinic

Had PPV with Dr. Theerapong through Interplast Clinic. Pictures are from days stated in the title.

It has been a mixed recovery for me thus far overall. This is my first ever surgery or being under in any form and it has been challenging to say the least. Some details from days and information i remember.

Day 0/Surgery day: The surgery day itself was rather easy, i remember waking up from a 2 second dream post surgery asking the nurse if the surgery was done, she assured me that surgery went well and that I would be moved back to my room in sometime. I remember being moved on a stretcher and smiling at my friends and partner who were waiting for me, I was wide awake through the night and gossiped for sometime before getting some sleep. Pain medication worked fine and i felt no pain but tremendous amount of discomfort especially in my legs.

Day 1: I was awake through the day and experienced no pain. Dr. Thee visit during the evening and told me that my left labia would be swollen more than the right and the surgery went well. He was surprised that I was awake and was able to communicate clearly. Blood numbers showed that I was anemic and due to heavy loss of blood during surgery I need an immediate blood transfusion to help with recovery. I was administered first packet of blood that night.

Day 2: Another packet of blood was administered as my hematocrit numbers fell significantly post surgery, the two packets of blood transfusion helped in improving the number.

Day 5: I was allowed to have liquids finally and this also caused the CO2 gas really act up with continuous farts and with the heavy blood loss I experienced, my left leg was very numb and I was unable to move much. This caused heavy discomfort each time there was a release of CO2 gas.

Day 6: Was served some liquid food with mushroom. Had a significant release of CO2 gas that day and the nurses were very kind in helping me poop multiple times. I used translator app to communicate with the nurses and it made a huge difference in getting medication or any support needed from them.

Day 7/Discharge day: Dr. Thee visited very early in the morning post completion of a surgery to carry out unpacking and first dilation. It was overwhelming to go through unpacking, dilation and seeing Vulva for the first time. Dr. Thee that he was able to achieve 6 inches of depth. The catheter was left in for another few days. I was assisted to walk by my partner and caretaker Lan to the washroom. It was extremely difficult few steps to the washroom and seeing the blood overwhelmed me. I took a shower which made me dizzy but was given an medicinal inhaler which helped immediately, taking the shower really helped in relaxing the body. I felt better and ready to go home. Settled in at home and had dilation with 26mm dilator that evening. Tramadol ensured that I did not experience much pain.

Day 10: Had a HBOT session to help with the healing as i was still not in a position to walk or move much other than to the washroom. Catheter was removed by the nurse. Dilation is not painful but being unable to move and this being my first surgery weighed heavily on my mood and emotional state.

Day 13: Had another HBOT session and follow up appointment with Dr. Thee. He mentioned that everything was healing well and recommended more HBOT sessions to help with the healing where the grafts on the minora are made.

Day 20: Recovery has been slow and swelling was very much on the higher side. Observed lesser Discharge and bleeding with every day. Next follow up appointment with Dr. Thee, he mentioned that the canal is healing well.

Day 28: Moved upto 28mm dilator. Not much bleeding from dilation, but had discharge. Some parts of the labia minora were still healing. Was asked to stop antibiotics and continue with Reparil for reducing swelling after the follow up appointment with Dr. Thee.

Day 35: The location where the left labia graft meet did not heal up and opened up causing bleeding, the wound had some discharge. Dr. Thee mentioned that it should heal up in a week or two.

Day 40: I sought 2 additional HBOT Sessions to help me with healing as the left labia would did not heal as expected and caused bleeding. The wound seems to be healing well as of today and hoping it continues that day. I sized up to 31 mm dilator. Observed reduction in swelling this week and mood has been better overall. Next follow up appointment is planned for the coming Wednesday where I would be getting few stitches to fix some minor aesthetic issues.

TDLR: Recovery has been hard ( my mileage is very low) but slowly things are getting better. I really like how the labias are made, 6 inches of depth, dilation is not painful but last couple of days I feel there is some discomfort to get the first dilator in. Will receive some stitches to fix minor aesthetic issues.

Will drop a further update with details about the incredible support i received from Interplast team and the amazing Caretaker Lan is.

Lastly a story.
Not a penis between us: a TiF wakes up after expecting to get her thigh turned into mincemeat to find that there is no meat against her minge, giving her a near hour-long panic attack; her surgeons inform her that her arteries are simply too dainty for the procedure and will require more sophisticated maneuvering before she can get her little guy home with her from the nursery. Horrifyingly, they already de-gloved the tip of her clitoris before realizing they wouldn't be able to give her a Frankendick, so she really should hope that this coming Thursday - the day of her planned reattempt - that they figure out something.

Woke up penis-less

I was supposed to have ALT phallo on 7/31, but I woke up in the PACU without a phallus. My leg was bandaged and I had two catheters, so at first I didn't realize. But when I finally overcame the anesthesia grog and looked down, nothing was there. I then had a 40 minute panic attack and they had to give me valium to calm down enough so they could take me to my hospital room.
Once there, the plastic surgery team told me my perforating arteries were too small to do the phallus creation, but they cut off most of the larger blood supply to the flap to force the smaller vessels to grow. They said it'll take about a week and then they'll take me back to the OR to try phallus creation again. I'm inpatient at the hospital this whole time. I'm just really devastated and worried that the vessels won't have grown enough. They already "de-gloved" the head of my meta penis in anticipation of burial and my leg is stapled and sore and I'm just terrified I'll be worse off from where I started. All I can do is wait and hope.
Just needed to share with people who get it.

@Magic Pickle this is some of your best work, truly. Good balance here of horrors and "best result you could possibly hope for, you stupid retarded tranny."

I think I can say objectively, and feel free to disagree, that this is a spectacular result. Ignoring the scar of course. Nowhere near a male chest—it screams TITTIES in that full body mirror pic especially and hips don't lie—but by modern day top surgery standards (I hesitate to even use the word standards), this is good.

And still she's unhappy. It's almost as if troons are chasing the dragon and will never be happy with surgery because the problem isn't their body but their fucking brain.
I wanna go home with the arma-dick-o: a TiF shows off her remarkably ashy thigh scar that exists as a result of her getting her leg ripped up to make a psuedopenis, leaving it with a texture that reminds me strongly of osteoderms, especially when she flexes it.
Again, one of the better results we've seen. This one could almost pass for a dick from a distance, at least from the side. It isn't the color of uncooked weisswurst, seems to be almost in the correct place and the faux balls aren't tiny origami skin dumplings sitting where labia used to be. EDIT: Scratch the weisswurst comment, the brightness was way down on my phone when I first looked at it. Scrolled back up and...yeah.

That leg tho, yikes.
Botched Budapussy: a Hungarian troon gets his dick shoved up into his body and resents that his surgeon left so much leftover erectile tissue, giving his manhole a distinctive, grotesque swell whenever arousal pays him a visit. Offended, his surgeon has cut ties with him, so now he's on Reddit trying to figure out what to do next.
I physically recoiled at this. It is a great visual to explain what goes where in axe wound surgeries. That's a fucking dick, it's unmistakable. It reminds me of those Popples toys from the 80s.

Even the “cis-looking” amholes are uncanny. You just see flesh crafted into what is supposed to look labia but there’s no holes. Who knows where the urethra is in that mangled mess, but the “labia” dipping down into an abyssal hole is so jarring. If I had an ultimatum of fucking one or dying a virgin, I’m dying a virgin.

That's why we should go back to them being men. Unless you were sexually assaulted, a medical exam is a medical exam, and most sane people won't care if it means their medical problems are going to go away.
I disagree. A lot of women, not just the religious ones, feel uncomfortable with male gynecologists. The ideal course of action would be for gynecologists as a whole to reject this tranny nonsense, but well, who am I kidding, it wouldn't happen.

no way this is a real thing. is it? I mean of all the man made horrors I have seen in this thread, this thing somehow is the saddest and most depressing. It's so heavy with implication, like a subliminal repressed acknowledgement that this is all nonsense and none of it really works without magical thinking and special props like this. maybe I am overthinking it. I hope I am.
