I worked in a similar situation. We had to go along with a young woman's delusion that she had a dick and balls, even to the point where we couldn't say anything when she said things like "what would you do if I put my balls in the microwave?" and "what would you do if I cut my dick off?" She's now on T and the staff just have to keep going along with everything.A friend who works in healthcare told me she encountered a young woman who is so autistic and mentally ill that she needs a court-appointed guardian and paid caregivers... and she is now pursuing phalloplasty with the support of her care team.

I swear this post did the rounds late last year. I don't think its real. That last sentence about being a parent of a trans child is different then being a regular parent seals it for me. Parents of trans kids do give off that vibe, but I don't think they would say it like that. They want other people to say that to them.
