Sporkings - Aka people who critique every line in a story

I didn't see any threads for this, so I decided to create one.

For those unfamiliar, a sporking is a form of MSTing and is defined as thus:

"Sporking is the practice of mocking badfic. The term comes from the expression "It was so bad it made me want to gouge my eyes out with a spork."

Spork may also be used as a noun to refer to a fic or other fanwork created to parody a specific badfic.

Oftentimes when people spork, they go line by line in a story and pick out flaws in every single sentence."

Obviously, this isn't restricted to fanfictions or even literature in general. Professionally published books like Twilight can receive the same treatment, with the sporker tearing it to shreds in their analysis. Das Sporking is one known community that does a combination of both.

Not all sporkings are created equal. There can also be bad sporkings where we can laugh at how bad the critiques are and how the sporker misses the point of the thing they're criticizing.

Huh, the entire thing seems to be deleted. I looked around and found out that he was banned since September 2023.

I curiously looked and he helpfully provided a screenshot of the alleged offenses from a mod, which of course he thinks is bullshit:

He seemed to take it well, especially the sixth point.
