Yeah... Not sure how they're going to do any other spiderman related shows given that they can't use the name Peter Parker or spiderman for live action television.

Maybe the success and popularity of this one will loosen the reigns a bit but it's Disney/sony bs. Sony is very protective of spiderman.
So protective of Spider-Man, yet they let Insomnic make that fucking garbage Spider-Man 2 where they go out of their way to shit all over Peter? Crazy lol

Video games and animated projects and comics are different. Live action is different.

Live action and theatrical I think are all sony.
Animated serialized slop is Disney.
Vidya games are Disney.

It's messy. That's why you won't see spiderman fighting kingpin with daredevil in the Disney slop shows.

But see, Sony doesn't care if THEY shit on Spidey-mane, THEY OWN HIM. They just don't want other people to make something that could be good with it and make them look like utter retards.

"The Spider" feels more period-appropriate anyway.
Thematically too, since he's kind of a dogshit spider-man but a pretty alright Shadow.

The name is explained later in the show. But it's also done that the Peter parker/spiderman ip is so protected that they couldn't have done this show this way if they used Peter Parker.
I was surprised they didn't drop a "Peter" after that but it makes sense now. And before considering this I decided I liked that decision anyway, with the assumption that it was deliberate. Less pandering.

My favourite parts were when Nic Cage Nic Caged.

My favourite part of him doing that, was the montage of the secretary walking in on him pissed drunk doing spider shenanigans.

Show met and exceeded my expectations greatly. Id like a season two but waiting 3 years for it would kill my interest.

That bit should have been bananas but he's a bit rickety to be swinging from the rafters the way he probably wanted.
All the spider-twitching likewise, they were a bit too "ok nic do the thing".

I liked all the subtle ones where he's doing regular shit and then for half a second his skeleton tries to escape or he gets suddenly bored doing the noir accent.

Última edición:
haven't seen the last episode yet, But I liked it, hope there is a season 2. Wish I would have watched in black and white cause the color brings it down, its like techno color from the 60's when they add the color in after filming in black and white . . . . .

Nick Cage is a chad what is not to like about nick cage being nick cage?

The comic is also terrible and the only thing it has going for it is the concept and the character design. Mary Jane in the comic is a depressed commie who fought in the Abraham Lincoln brigade, Doc Ock is a Nazi who lobotomizes Robbie Robertson and black people because he’s an envious white cripple, and a very boring Crime story were the Green Goblin is a magic schizophrenic or something.

The fucking retarded thing about the setting is that the 60’s bullshit was closer to Noir with some of the original villain schemes. Noir is just very unoriginal beyond the suit. The above might be the sequel, but ultimately the entire Alternate timeline is pretty boring.

Sincerely, Shattered Dimensions and the Spider-Verse variant is the only thing worthwhile. The Spider-Verse is honestly the only tolerable version of Miles.

I don't think the writers know what prohibition was or when it ended.

It was a constitutional amendment, so a mayor couldn't end it.

It ended in 1934 yet this show is clearly set in the late 30s, long after it ended.
