Too many ads on twitch so everyone moved even though twitch viewership didn't change, da algo picked it up, the games being shown resonate better with the youtube audience (????) etc.

If I'm not mistaken, that's also the same year that the "women speedrunners" picture was taken, and it's a bunch of fat balding dudes around a table (Princess Proto was one of them). I'm sure it was worse a few years before; but that's when I really started to notice they're going to the trans. Then one year they had that dude who, I forget if it was during or right after his run, but he says something like "Can I get a shoutout to my girlfriend, she just started HRT today" or something like that. But point being, and I may be wrong, but to men, letting Princess Proto do his gay shit was the thin edge of the wedge that pushed it to the insane shit, like when they started listing pronouns for the runner and whoever's on the couch. Because even if you as an individual have the fortitude to stand up and tell them to shut the fuck up, because people want videogames, no one else will stand with you; especially not all the corporations and shit that use donations as tax write-offs. After that year, a lot of complaints came in about them, and instead of realizing they have a problem on their hands, they doubled down to protect trannies.
SGDQ 2016 I believe is when proto was first on screen and started it all. I remember the mods having to go full nuclear banning anyone in the chat making fun of him and his crew, leading to the boring and sanitized community we have now. It was the first domino to fall.

I've watched some of this faggot's videos and his titles imply that he's some kind of mathematician, who's going to break down some really complex stuff for finding game exploits and such, when in fact, he just takes really simple math and tries to make it sound much more complicated than it actually is.
