This is not correct by the way. Godring was an American autist named Alex. He posted selfies and shit and exposed his power-word in the chat. One time he sent the entire server a document that was filled out with his IRL name, it was a "bondage slavery contract" thing. He also posted a lot about how his wife was leaving him and taking the kids. He confirmed he was autistic and was like "don't tell anybody" and cried when he was told that everyone could already tell.

He took his bat and ball and went home because we voted him out as Dear Leader. Mostly because he kept doing dumb shit like griefing the entire server with bluespace artillery. We wanted him to keep hosting, but his decisions were unilaterally retarded and he made us all look bad by association. Of course he AGREED that we could vote him out, but when we actually did, he threw a hissy fit and stopped hosting.

Godsring's Fallout was also not the one where you could have sex with deathclaws, that came along later.

It's funny because I honestly thought the russki's, at that time, were just doing another bootleg random project. No wonder their code and sprites were so nice, they were the OG's. I guess that's how they got to be closed source, and when Godsring wanted to buddy up they insisted their work stay closed. Dr Evo was always credited as "the guy" who did FO13, but I guess all he did was translate it and add the sex menu.

Fun aside about the sex menu, originally it was very poorly programmed. You could press a button and then hold down the enter key and it would do the action instantly and repeatedly, no spam filter, no slowdown, nothing. As well ghosts could use the menu on living players. You could walk up to someone with the menu ready and machine-gun ass-slap them. All of this was extremely funny and it was a downgrade when they "fixed" it.

I found this SS13 server in Spanish with a medieval setting. Since the Spanish-speaking community is small, I wanted to share it in case anyone is interested. It usually has between 15 and 20 people, with more activity on the weekends. Although it's only been around for two weeks, it's growing well. The people are nice and the atmosphere is great.

And that's where the community comes in to kill them. Any Byond griefer has like 10 backup accounts and the ability to just swap between them on the fly, we've had these people before and most of the time the players just kill them when they get attacked, or when they do something obviously stupid.

Our game is obtuse and very different from Ss13, grief that works in the base game simply does not work on our server. Similar to Fallout, You cannot plasmaflood. As well as this, you cannot make bombs, and to get weapons that will deal enough damage to kill someone you will need game knowledge which you need to ask about or complete a lengthy tutorial to actually know. Chemistry is a system written from scratch. Griefers have none of their usual tools.

Griefers are sorted by the community in 95% of cases before they do any harm because it's obvious. They see a gun in their pocket, they shoot a nearby player dealing almost no damage, and that player cracks their skull open in like 3 hits.

Passwords are on the way next week. I just wanted to punch out a quick fix to let a couple people try our game. We actually have been running this for a few days and have had no issues so far. I've got the staff monitoring things for griefers and we have enough admins and maintainers who can close the guest access, Shutting off this system temporarily or permanently
