So with the recent bowdlerization of Dahl and the cancellation of Bombie the Zombie from Don Rosa (and presumably Barks who already got recolored) ot would be nice to have some references for the world that are original.

I’ll start - anything by Dahl publisher before 2022 should be fine. Don Rosa currently in print today has everything g; the online scans of both his work and Barks will have all the stories even the cancelled ones.

I know that Warner Bros was putting a notice in front of thier racist shit but I think that time is gone. And Seuss lost a book, too. I’m sure there are others such as the deniggerfication of Huckleberry Finn.

If you want digital copies, torrents are probably the easiest. For hard copies, I'd try used book stores or online auctions and stuff like that.

Yeah, and if you buy kindle or other “online” versions you best crack and export that shit. Amazon has been known to edit and delete books from Kindle (many times the edits are harmless actual improvements to recently released works but anything by a dead author be ready)

I’m also interested in learning the ones I don’t know about - I have a “complete MAD Magazine CD/DVD” from years ago and I wonder if they’d reprint it all these days.

Lucky fuck. Mad, playboy, and guns and ammo are the only magazines a growing boy needs.

I too collect media in order to fight against this great censorship demon. If you're looking for older books, your local library probably does a yearly sale where they get rid of older library books. Thrift stores are currently DVD heaven, and most yard sales will just give away the vinyl because it takes up too much space and they don't listen to it.
Hell, you can get free books/DVDs/vinyls if you drive around a white neighborhood on the day before trash day (also a great way to get like new furniture that people don't use anymore).

Why would you 'buy' a book in a format where some third party is capable of making edits to or deleting content from it while on your device? That seems pretty retarded to me.

Dahl made some changes that might be considered PC today, but if you're okay with authorial changes those would be fine.

Wikipedia:
In the first published edition, the Oompa-Loompas were described as African pygmies, and were drawn this way in the original printed edition.[10] After the announcement of a film adaptation sparked a statement from the NAACP, which expressed concern that the transportation of Oompa-Loompas to Wonka's factory resembled slavery, Dahl found himself sympathising with their concerns and published a revised edition.[10] In this edition, as well as the subsequent sequel, the Oompa-Loompas were drawn as being white and appearing similar to hippies, and the references to Africa were deleted.[10]

Convenience and cost, plus you can carry a library of hundreds of books in the palm of your hand. Getting a Kindle was one of the best decisions I've made in a while.

Important works I think are vulnerable I keep hard copies of just in case, but I don't think anybody's going to sneak something into my Kindle copy of Haunted Liverpool 35 for example.
