It's still true they trickled out platforms for that game to tard cum their speds. Bandai is doing that a lot now on Switch. It had nothing to do with NISA that was all Falcom's doing. Nobody on the switch or PC bought their games in quantities to justify porting.

the PS4 got a version of Cold Steel 1 and 2 with even more enhancements than the PC version and also got all the DLC for free. The DLC for the PS4 version will also instantly level you to level 250 or something insane so you can start on Nightmare mode. You also have all the costumes and everything else on the disc itself.

3 and 4 are not coming to PC due to Xseed biting it and NISA taking over. Since Falcom isn't going to dish out the money for ports, that fell on NISA and they're not going to spend the cash to localize it either, since again the other platforms didn't buy shit in actual quantities.

Basically any sort of major weeb support on other platforms is a fiction, much like The Grinch leak or Persona 5 being ported to Switch. The Bigfoot Truthers have a better track record at this point.

Falcom didn't port Ys 8 to PC and Switch. NISA paid their Japanese development team to. That's why there were technical problems.

That's just a multiplied Japanese trick. First they got their mooks to buy the original release on PS3 and PSVita. Then they got them to buy the improved PC version. Now they get them to buy another improved version on PS4.

Cold Steel's PC ports didn't launch alongside their original release. They came after. They can just do another late port for the next two.

That was with XSeed running the show. NISA is in charge for the US and if they were going to do a PC or Switch release it would have already been announced. NISA isn't one to delay releases, the only recent delay was the SNK 40th collection and that was in part of the Switch version not having all the games at launch and the remaining needing to be patched in over a period of months and then they gave the release dates for the multiplat version. People knew Snk40th was coming to other platforms they just didn't know when.

But yeah their other major releases like Labyrinth of Refrain were multiplat and every version came out the same day for all platforms.

The way things are going it's sounding like NISA is going to do AO, a remastered HD version of Trails in the Sky trilogy, YsSeven, HD Oath, and whatever else is Falcom related that Xseed did.

Xseed supposedly has their rights to the franchises run out within a year or two. They're really kinda fucked because Senran kagura did terrible in japan and the US and the japanese version was uncensored. That's literally the only "big" franchise they have left and they also lost a good many of their skilled employees. And they screwed themselves not due to censorship or anything but doing BIGGEST DUB EVER and spending a fuckload on a game that nobody gave a shit about(Akiba's Beat).

NISA was the one who made Ys8 sell more copies than Falcom's last three Xseed releases combined and then some. The only other company who released a falcom game was Aksys and that was Tokyo Xanadu.

Unless they work some fucking magic, Death Stranding and Nioh 2 will likely be my last exclusives from them. Though, some people are wondering if this is a possible false flag from the bishonen belugas, since it’s from Sony MUSIC and not Funimation

BMG is still around, but they dont use the name Sony BMG anymore and never did, its a new company after the joint venture ended(people say because sony wasnt ready to invest enough money, they were pretty broke at that time.)
