I don’t even know what they’re trying to go with here. It just seems like another cliche cop buddy story, but with a blue autism hedgehog.

At the same time, it looks like if you turn your brain off it might be a bit of a fun watch. My only real concern is Jim Fucking Carrey as Robotnik. It really needed a fatter, balder, more bombastic less snap-witted actor.

This one is hitting the Uncanny Valley for Sonic real hard and the jokes from the trailer are pretty bad as well. I seriously think any video game movie needs to be done in full CGI in order for it to work.

sort of unrelated but i kinda like that Green Hills sheriff Crown Vic they got there.

But back to the topic at hand, Chris already lost it over Jim Carrey Robotnik so i'm not really expecting him to actually avoid vandalizing a theater, Time will only tell.

(said in the curse of oak island narrator voice)
..... WAIT.... Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio.... The same Gangsta's paradise sang by Chris in (Clyde's) Trollsta's Paradise in April of 2009? Could the sonic movie people be referencing Chris?!

We did it guys...

I have on good authority that half the shit in this movie is meta jokes about the fandom and it's a masterful work of everyone talking in code.

Granted I'm not sure if the actors were wise to it but it's there, or is the Punishing Invulnerable Nigh-invincible Gargantuan Assault Sentry not enough for you?

This is an origin movie, they're planning on more of them.

Granted though this is the equivalent of the pokemon movie having an origin of the US Army creating Arceus and it escaping to another dimension to create all the pokemon with the help of Chris Pratt and Jeff Goldblum

The reason why they wanted the army in this movie is because military shit sells in China it's the reason why the Transformers movies did as well as they did over there, they want to mimic shit beat for beat in terms of appearance. If it was just the local police chase Sonic around it would have no appeal to them. Remember Alvin and the Chipmunks made enough to warrent a Trilogy and a soon to be greenlit reboot, the smurfs are getting another film, and I want to know who needs to get their dick blown in Hollywood so the people who made Lasagna Cat can take the film rights to garfield before 2020 when the next film is set to be released where Garfield Runs For President(BAD ORANGE CAT).

If you go to the bathroom every time Jim Carey is off screen and obliterate a whole weed vape cartridge it may be possible to find a way to view this as a reasonably enjoyable Eggman origin story.

He... he does know that since his account is private they can't read his tweets, right? Or does Twitter let people tagged from a private account see the tweets they're tagged in?

I don’t know who the fuck they’re selling this movie to. It’s sorta too cutesy for adults but then there’s Gangsta’s Paradise(?!) over it. And a child abduction joke? And a deeply weird looking CGI character voiced by a deeply awkward actor from an NBC sitcom?

Maybe Gene Wilder will pop out at the end of the movie and say it’s just a new version of The Producers and they’re making bank as the studio implodes.

The Aristocrats!

Seriously, though, you're spot on. It looks totally uninspired and 20 years too late.

Looks like ass. Total 'tism. When I saw it this morning, I knew I would have to check in here tonight to see if he had exhibited tard.rage yet.
It's bound to be coming.

I'm pretty sure his tard rage about this kicked off late last year.

And if I'm right, someone plz shoot me in the brain stem because that kind of shit does not deserve to be clogging up my brain's already-limited hard drive space. (:_(

Edit: God damn it.

PM me for killdox.
