Recently, Sega updated the website for Sonic in the West, and with this new website comes new website bios. And unsurprisingly they are horrible, take the ones for Amy and Shadow for example:

Anyways, it turns out that the reason they ended up like this is due to Sega of America's meddling. Discord messages with the guy responsible for translating these bios from Japanese to English recently surfaced and according to him SoA made him remove things from the translation such as Amy's crush on Sonic or Shadow's relationship with Maria.

Did they forgot Shadow likes guns and collecting vehicles? Guns i can understand not mentioning but he dose like motorcycles. I think half the reason he works for GUN is for the money to buy and store all his stuff unlike Sonic that lives the hobo lifestyle.

Hate is also a too strong word to use against humans. I think apathetic would fit better.

Speaking of Shadow returning to his edge route, we already saw how that turned out with Sonic Boom, and it was BAD.

GUN is currently gone until/if the next game mentions them. Maybe it's for that reason. Or maybe the idea is to make him an edgelord and double down on that for some reason.
