That’s the guy who’s famously known for doing realistic designs of Pokémon. The Detective Pikachu people specifically sought him out to do designs for the movie.

he's a talented illustrator for sure but he's volunteering to jump into a dumpster fire. that production is going to be hell.

Maybe, but just taking their people and making them work even harder during crunch isn’t exactly much better. If the guy knows what he’s doing, more power to him to offer help.

lol and I'm sure the paramount producers who mismanaged the production this far will gladly suck his soul out his asshole too along with the other post people.
 
I heard Gangsta's Paradise on the way home from work today and I had to laugh. That song does not work with a Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
 
I'm not convinced that this design debacle isn't all a work, and that they don't already have a better sonic design integrated into the final product.
 
Imagine working 60 hour weeks trying to rework that Sonic design. Imagine working to the point of exhaustion and putting your health in danger for this 21% on Rotten Tomatoes film.

Imagine all the parents not being around to see their children grow up because they spent 80 hours a week trying to get Sonic's fur the right shade of blue, and having to do it all over again.

Imagine missing your son's first birthday because you and your people are tasked to work overtime removing movie Sonic's weird child teeth.
