Here are my predictions for the film
The lead military guy is the GUN commander from Ow The Edge
Robotnik’s sidekick is Snively
70% of the film will be incredibly unfunny slapstick humor as the main character tries to keep people from finding out about Sonic
Sonic wil end up ruining the guys social life and job just like in Alvin and the Chipmunks and Smurfs
Their’s going to be a completely unearned sad montage with some generic sad pop song playing over it
Fortnite will make an appearance
Incredibly blatant product placement
Tails will show up at the last minute to bring Sonic back home
The post credits scene will be Knuckles coming across Robotnik in Mushroom Hill Zone
The Chaos Emeralds will basically be used as infinity stone knock offs
That piece of blue hair will be used to create Metal Sonic
Their will be a dated meme reference
Their will be a creepy bestiality subplot
Gerald Robotnik and/or Shadow will be teased in a very hamfisted manner
A meme from the sonic franchise will be shoehorned in (I’m guessing it will either be Robotnik saying snooping as usual I see or someone asking where the damn fourth chaos Emerald is)
A cringy scene where someone will call Robotnik an “Eggman”

at this point I've completely lost hope even for the next mainline game, if this is the level of quality that sega is ok with, in relation to their official projects.
I think this is one of the few franchises where only the non spergy fans get it, at this point and the guys who are supposed to be the key holders, have no fucking clue.

Seriously though, the comic book movie sbemail is scarily accurate.
Especially the bit about refusing to cover famous actor's faces to the detriment of the film. That's why Jim Carrey spends most of the movie looking like he's in a Spy Kids reboot.



Also Jesus Christ the dialogue is awful.
Eggman is supposed to be funny evil not cunty evil and Sonic's dialogue is horribly up to date.

Who the fuck thought that was a good idea to do? Did they not watch The Grinch? Jim Carrey was in a literal fur suit and makeup on set, but he still managed to get his facial expressions bleeding through it because he's that expressive. Hell, Series of Unfortunate Events had him looking like Count Olaf, but you still saw bits of Jim in the makeup. Even Horton Hears A Bloody Who got Horton animated to LOOK. LIKE. JIM. He could be shoved into a fat suit with glued on mustaches and Eggman's goggles and he'd still be able to be recognizable.

That is so fucking out of touch that they're not even of this earth two centuries ago.

That is most definitely not true.

The design for Sonic in this movie looks bad, but The CGI is much better in this than the fan film, but the fan film had the advantage of going for a cartoony look, so it was less disturbing than the ultra realistic Sonic we have here. The only way this movie could have worked is if they went full CGI like a pixar film. That way they could have kept the cartoony designs from the games and given the humans cartoony designs too.

Alright maybe I was a bit overboard with the praise but that scene with eggman has more charisma and style than the entire official movie.
