It warms my cold cynical heart that video game movie adaptations are actually topping the charts in recent times and leaving Disney in the dust.

A total reversal of how 3 decades ago a movie adaptation of a game was usually very loose and at best seen as a guilty pleasure and ripe for riffing at worst.

Here's hoping they keep that momentum. :semperfidelis:

I watched all three of them with my sister and mom. Appreciated all the nods to various parts of the franchise. If they have Metal Sonic speak, they better get Robert Patrick to voice him. I also like how they had multiple of them in the stinger like the UK comic.

As much as I hate the human characters I really appreciate Tom's character arc where he learns to embrace the art of blackface

Also apparently Carrey might be in 4:

Doesn't surprise me Carrey's open to even more. He's clearly having a blast acting in these films, getting high praise for a return to classic Carrey comedy, and receiving fat paychecks all the while. Hell, he enjoys Sonic games - he probably understands Eggman's THE villain of the franchise be it big bad or setup to a particular game's main baddy. If he needed a relative break for whatever reason, I'm sure they can scale him back in actual screentime while using what he does perform in for all plot-critical scenes if they had to.

WTF?! I can't even get that number from Box Office Mojo! What the shit?! I checked Mufasa and at first glance, it's trouncing the Blue Blur. Is this another Rotten Tomatoes thing?
It's a Disney thing in general; they've been putting a lot of money and numbers lies into trying to lie about Mufasa doing better than it really is. Because they really don't want to think about how they can't just remake the films in their archive out of CGI slop and not print money.

Did this happened in the end credits?
