SEGA should be ashamed. How the fuck is an outsider making this character so much cooler than he ever was in the official games he's been in?

last time i liked Knuckles in anything non-vidya related was the Mania episodes on YouTube, and he wasn't even in it for that long.

I thought he was pretty well done in Frontiers. It was refreshing to have him back to how he used to be character-wise and not just a dumbass that's used for comic relief.

I'd say that the only time having Knuckles being a dumbass was actually funny was in the Sonic Boom show.

Even then part of the gag is that everyone in the show is kind of dumb - just in different ways in according to their character.

Making weapons illegal was a brilliant move. And he knew all the government forms. Dude was a potential triple threat.

While on the subject, I do compare Sonic Boom to Seinfeld in terms of character dynamic. In the series, Sonic is more like Jerry Seinfeld, Knuckles is like Kramer and Eggman is like Newman. If you think about it, both Knuckles in the show and Kramer have done a lot of ignorant things yet the writing of these two respective characters work

An interesting and compelling point. It would be a fun experiment to put seinfeld audio over boom and boom audio over seinfeld.

Also Kramer was a total stud (just like Knux), and he was randomly brilliant. I could totally see Knuckles doing this.

We knew that, with Shadow coming into Sonic 3 and some of the bigger things that we want to do, the Sonic franchise on the movie side is going to be these Avengers-level events. They’re going to be these big, exciting stories that have a lot of different characters. And so what television did for us is it gave us time to go into some of the more supporting characters in depth and really build them out in cool ways.”
