And we have Paramount to thank for being generous enough to delay the release to give the director and animators more time to fix Sonic's model. They weren't obligated to, they were having financial problems for sure, but something convinced them to listen to the fans, and now the fans working on this franchise are giving their all to show their love for Sonic and friends.

All so we can have subtle silly little references like Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the Sonic 2 logo artwork, and perhaps purposefully pissing off Ken Penders more. And possibly edgier Shadow that would make the 2005 game blush.

Paramount was being too cocky with releasing Bayformers movies after its fourth movie ended up being the number one highest grossing movie of 2014. Sure, they may have released both Mission Impossible movies to turn profits, but they needed more then these two franchises (and to be technical, either Star Trek or SpongeBob as well)

Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones etc.) is deconfirmed as Rouge. The only applicable actor left out of the previously announced ones was this Sofia Pernas chick who I've never heard of. Listening to this video I looked up, I guess she could fit the role? It's either that or Rouge isn't in the movie at all.

this case in particular was a major change very late into the thing, there was already deals upon deals in motion with that release date and that horrible style
it seems to have worked out fine, but that was a really long limb to go out on hoping the video game hamster thing would make enough to be worth the hassle
