That's the nonsensical pitch penders sent to SEGA that had nothing to do with the SATAM movie. The story is moreor less IIRC that the SATAM guy wanted to make a movie that wrapped up the cliffhanger ending of the original series, since it wasn't renewed for a third season and it left people wondering "what the fuck was gonna happen there?" Penders Basically sabotaged it with his fucking SONIC: ARMAGEDDON

Oh god I can't even find the HD uploads of the english dub anymore either. Why the fuck is bandai striking down the Sonic OVA? Is the shit that I was talking about happening finally? Did I fucking jinx it? I can't even find the isolated clip of them in the fucking white house I wanted to post to go "I have no idea what the fuck you mean by him sounding like mandark"All I can find are clickbaity reviews of the movie, some ancient "HD" upload where part 2 seems to have been flagged down, as well as an arabic fansub of the english version.

I'm fucking pissed either way. If it's NOT actually an acquisition of rights for re-release and instead false flagging from defective bots, or worst case scenario rights squatter vaulting, it's just gonna be fucked either way unless you find a torrent. Knowing howthere-release of old dubbed anime these days just does a complete cast with new netflix adaptation/funimation inner circle level shit or completely omits the english dub, we're potentially looking at yetanother "lost media unless you actively pirate or fuel scalpers- ER I MEAN Value speculators!" situation
NOT A POST EDIT BUT I DON'T FEEL LIKE RE-WRITING EVERYTHING: Turns out the thing has been legally available in Japan on Bandai's streaming service but of course only in Japanese for possibly a year or 2 now. It took me longer to write out the post then usual due to some shit that came up and I did a bit of research between the loud ass chaos. Surprised they're issuing takedowns but this now means there's literally not going to be any way to view the fucking thing. I also found out that it was only one of the companies involved with releasing it globally that died, so that's something. I fucking hate this situation either way, the Clickbaity reviews of course get spared but the actual isolated clips or small channels using clips from it get yoinked down. I'mglad the OST recreations/demo tape rips are still up though but I can only wonder how long they'll live for.

Images seem to be working again so I'm just gonna finish off this post with that image I was trying to send in the other thing

As I said before, the flash kind of washes out the sculpt detail on these weirdly detailed sculpt having but cheaply produced figures and the slightly warped legs on the smaller ones kinda accentuates the cheap feeling. They look nice and don't take up much shelf space, really tempted to paint them but I also don't want to ruin them.

Knuckles' mouth looks a bit cheap but otherwise yeah those are decent quality figures.

For whatever reason on these small figures knuckles and sonic's mouths are simultaneously sculpted and printed on. The knuckles one is off-center due to shoddy QC. There's larger ones of all of them out there, save for jim carrey. In an ideal world they'd have made a larger Jim Carrey to scale with the larger figures, instead of having the one that's scaled with the smaller figures as the large figure. Contemplated getting the bigger ones andthen modifying a NECA ace ventura as that would probably be similarly scaled but that shit would be pretty fucking expensive.

I was talking witha friend a while back and he made a ugandan knuckles reference out of fucking nowhere which got me thinking "did they cast idris elba as knuckles because he can do a voice like that" as on like the voice for knuckles sounds like a less meme-ish version of the "vaugely ethnic accent deep voiced guy" people already associated with the ugandan knuckles raids.

There's a upload of the fandub but it uses 3GI's Sonic Rebuilt instead of the original footage but it's out there in a way and one that has a better shot with fair use.

It's weird how they are all of sudden not fine with the OVA being online for real when it has been for years with no problem but whatever.

Doesn't even make sense from the angle that they are doing it for the hype of the Sonic Movie 2 to transfer onto it because you either have people like me that have already seen it so we don't go looking left and right for a copy or zoomers that know nothing about it and would rather just watch the Sonic Movie 2 then looking for a old ass movie.

Do you think they'll play this in the movie at some point?
For those that don't know, Sonic 3’s Ice Cap Zone music was actually based on this then-unreleased 1981 song by The Jetzons. This was because Brad Buxer, the Jetzons keyboardist worked on Sonic 3, along side Michael Jackson.
