So what's the ratio between human scenes and sonic&co scenes in these movies?

Like is it similar to the Knuckles episodes where it was mostly humans and barely the titular characters? because if so then 😒

I do remember a disproportionate amount of the second movie being dedicated to a subplot about the sheboon's sister's wedding

The Knuckles show clearly had budget problems, while the second film I guess didn't have enough plot to fill the runtime. This one looks to have a meatier story so probably 60/40 to the game cast.

It's a rare trailer that makes me want to see the film. Keanu works perfectly for Shadow, and it's looking like it's going to be even better than 2 was. Mostly because it feels like they have the film more focused again; 2 had issues with tight writing.
I think the trailer revealed a little too much. But that seems to be pretty normal for trailers anyways.

I won't be surprised if another trailer spoils Metal Sonic. I am curious if Black Doom will be mentioned in this movie or if he'll be saved for a possible future installment.

Amazing what happens when you get someone working on these things who actually gives a shit, rather than narcissistic morons who purposefully kick the source material to the curb in favor of their "enlightened vision".
That fucking Sonic of all franchises was one of the few/only franchises of old to avoid being sodomized by currentyear and left to drown in the pozzloads of a thousand diversity consultants, obsequious journo-pandering producers, and tumblr degenerate nepo hires, is in and of itself the funniest fucking punchline to the past decade of so many bigger and better franchises going down in flames.

It also provides further proof that the merge is fucking real

100% agree with you overall in sentiment and Merge being real, lemme say off the bat. But I'm quoting this specific bit because... and I can't believe I'm saying this... I think it's actually achieved "diversity done right" of all things. Or at least the old-school, non-annoying 90s type.

The series' two main good guy humans are an interracial couple white dude and black chick, right? But 1) they're completely new characters so there's no logical accusations of race-swapping anyone and 2) far as I remember, the movies never bring up any race stuff in the first place. Instead the couple is shown as completely loving and supportive to one another, and when the story demands it, funny. The sincere lack of pozzing in the first movie meant I saw a joke/meme that leftists interpreted a strong interracial couple with the dude humbly supporting his girl achieve her nursing dreams while rightoids saw a strong white cop colonizing a black woman who was moving with him for his career. And that was again a joke, I never really saw any actual virtue-signaling or complaining.

Amazing how actually focusing on making a good film that's fun and entertaining leads to all sorts of people enjoying it and thus, all sorts of profits. Who knew? not Hollywood

You are correct, it did not. The only racial stereotyping was the behaviour of the fat negress in the second film. They might as well have dressed her like Aunt Jemima and had her exclaiming, "Lawks a mussy!" every five minutes. I managed to overcome the sheniggergans in the film but it wasn't easy.

Also the wife wants San Francisco (and by extension all of California/other libtard cities) to burn to the ground so they can stay in a quiet rural town, and that scene alone triggered MovieBob. Based as fuck.

Oh yeah, think we'll get another Sanic joke?

Sorry to double-post, I got too excited thinking about it.

in SA2 rouge's entire thing was she was a federal agent sent to spy on Eggman by claiming to be an expert jewel thief who CONVENIENTLY shows up when they find out they need the emeralds to fire the cannon. it's like one of the bigger yet still not major twists in the game because you can see it coming a mile away. Since they're doing weird shit with this sonic movie trilogy completely untied to the games like sonic being an alien raised by fucking owls who were killed by knuckle's family rouge doesn't really slot in too much which makes the sa2 loose adaptation thing they're going for here a bit more odd. In the 1st movie, Robotnik himself already was a guy who works/makes shit for the feds, tasked with capturing sonic. SPECIFICALLY because sonic was a weird little creature and somehow caused power outages in a huge ass chunk of America. My point is we already have feds out the ass in this cast.

I've played that game, I know what happens. And yes, they are changing stuff. Now I'm imagining that GUN sends out Marine instead of Rouge, and Shadow can make that wonderful face.

I should probably provide some context for this stupid joke
