Likewise, you gotta love how they make the villian into a total joke. Yes, I understand he was a bit of a joke in the Sonic Adventure series (the only 3d games worth playing by the way, sans generations) but there was still a bit of a threat to him. In this, you have sonic mocking the fat man, who, again, poses no threat whatsoever.

If this is sonic for the new generation, this new generation is shit.

If this is sonic for the new generation, this new generation is shit.

It isn't, it's confirmed as a separate canon, there will still be same old regular Sonic.

The game and cartoon are going to be created by a western developer instead of Sonic Team so I won't be surprised if it was a wink wink to the most famous Sonic recolor of all time

I'm feeling an adverse reaction to this redesign, maybe it's because my first exposure to Knuckles was this:

The younger generation that didn't know "classic" Knuckles, will probably be okay with him being a towering, tanky guy. Also, I see Amy's being moved into the "cool and sexy" side.

He glides using the power of his dreadlocks, there's no real logic to it.
But yeah, I actually like his new design. I mean knuckles was always presented as this super strong powerhouse who could punch through mountains and they always talked about how strong he was, and yet he was one of the scrawniest characters in the game.
