Because they're idiots who don't understand how the SCOTUS works.

The only valid point they have is that appointments to the SCOTUS shouldn't be for life, but that's a valid point no matter what the political leanings of the Justices.

They genuinely believe that USA will turn into the 4th Reich the moment SCOTUS is two-thirds conservative-leaning. Then again, these people genuinely believe that Trump's an actual fascist instead of the american version of Silvio Berlusconi he actually is.

one of the issues liberals have is something like a daddy complex. They focus alot on the office of the POTUS and supreme court rullings to get what they want. At the cost of state legislators, state governors, and congress.



One thing i m gonna argue is that the SC did a the GOP a favor with the gay marriage shit. The Evangelical plank in the party was a millstone around their neck.

The same way trump can walk in and speak to blacks with out all that other baggage, unlike joe yelling about cocain.

What other posters have said, but also RBG enjoyed a cult of personality status among the left and far left.

She came out in strong favor of abortion in Roe v Wade, and of gay marriage. She was only the second woman on the court, and the first Jew, and in a world where identity politics is all that matters, this ticks boxes. And no matter what you think of her, she wrote outstanding opinions, on the majority and in dissent. She wrote like Scalia did -- in a way that the common person could understand archaic law and logic. I personally liked her, if I rarely agreed with her.

What they don't like to talk about, because none of them have read a single opinion she ever wrote or looked at anything beyond the most inane surface level factors, she was pro-government in a lot of ways they would hate. Yes, she was a social liberal, but she also had no qualms about backing federal expansion, broadening the powers of the federal government, or even striking down unions or workplace worker organization when it suited.

Of course, her worst decision was not retiring in 2014 when she originally planned, counting on a Clinton victory. To give you an idea of how catastrophic this mistake is, most jurisprudence groups gave her a 30%-40% chance of dying every year from 2016 onward. Scalia was replaced by Gorsuch, which didn't alter the court that much, but Kennedy was always the swing vote that would back the liberal wing lead by Ginsburg. When he retired, and Kavanaugh took his place, the court really didn't have a swing vote anymore.

With Ginsburg gone, and candidates like Amy Coney Barrett at the top of Trump's list, the SCOTUS wouldn't even need to negotiate with the liberal wing on issues anymore. She's more right than Scalia was in some cases (She clerked for him).

If you're a leftist, your panic is 100% justified. Every other issue that this campaign was about, COVID, healthcare, riots, whatever, all got turned down. This is a race about the SCOTUS now.

And Trump's picks have been public for awhile. Biden won't release his list because his candidates are too extreme.

And further panicking goons, and the left in general, is that during the Obama presidency, Democrats controlling the Senate abolished the confirmation filibuster when they tried to ram through a tremendous amount of legislation that failed to pass, and then failed to appoint Garland anyway when Republicans took the Senate as a result.

If the Senate Republicans hold together, they have the votes to confirm a Justice before the election, assuming the traitors in the party stay in the fold.
 
Working as SA staff must be a treat. The work hours are reasonable and well-defined, the pay is great, all your expenses are reimbursed, your supervisor is supportive, friendly, and easy to reach, all your coworkers get along splendidly, and the customer base adores you for the effort you put in to maintain a safe, inclusive, comfortable place for them.

It's not so much of a psychosexual thing as much as a lot of left-wing ideology is imposed from the top-down, often against the wishes of the electorate. There is a reason that a lot of social-issue left-wingers are suspiciously well-off.

For the clearest examples, see: How the Civil Rights Act actually gets used, every time California passes Proposition X that is simply tossed out by a judge and you have to just accept it, and so on.
 
Or how Barry Bongo and most of California was ardently anti-faggot-marriage until the supreme court made it so, then rainbow homo lights on the white house yay! so powerful!
