I've said it before and I'll say it again. You simply do not see this kind of attitude or behavior from someone who has to take care of themselves - working 40 hours a week would drum it out of a person. It is firmly a property of the spoiled and entitled.

She mentioned forever ago that her aunt got her a job in the jewelry business but she quit after like a week because it was too stressful.

I worked in the diamond industry for a little more than a month (my aunt got me in. yay nepotism) and I hated every single second of it. I had to take a train in the cold dead of winter into Manhattan with every other sad rat race fucker every morning. I worked in an office with no windows. Got into work before sunrise, left after the sun set. I got seriously depressed in only a month and had to quick. I never had any interest whatsoever in diamonds in the first place, and multiple people in the office warned me more than once to "not get stuck here like I did." I had to get out as quick as possible, so I did.

She got given a job in the diamond industry for no other reason than who her aunt was but couldn't bare to hold a job alongside "sad, rat race fuckers" so she squandered the opportunity and went back to playing videogames all day and leeching off her parents.

Plenty of people would kill for an opportunity like that, and that contempt for working-class people - god damn. What is it with leftists secretly looking down on the working-class? "A regular job? Maybe for the plebs, but people like me deserve to get paid to play videogames and become internet superstars!"

No shit. How out of touch can one person get? Most people can't afford to just walk away from an unpleasant job because they don't have mommy and daddy to coddle them. By the way, mommy and daddy probably spent their lives being the "rat race fuckers" that are so beneath a princess like her because although it's probably inconvenient for her to think about, the family money she relies on had to come from somewhere.

Young social justice progressives believe willful unemployment via technology is the only free, just and permissible existence: Web journalism, game design, Let's Plays, topical NGOs, streaming and Youtube are their examples of this ideal. It's a putrid strain of Silicon Valley hipster techno-utopianist logic - these people yearn for automation, AI, etc. to wipe out human labour and usher in the setting to WALL-E and they see the working class as buying into the tyrannical system they want to destroy, therefore abetting the subjects of their ideological hatred (i.e. rich people, corporations, politicians, etc.)

The unique irony of capitalism is that its most fervent enemies are the people who benefit from it the most.

But we don't have automation or AI or anything of that degree. Those working class are the ones who allow them to exist the way they do. How do they not understand that if they don't earn the money they spend, someone else had to? The people they shit on are the ones who pay for their lifestyle!
