I used to look down on my grandparents, who couldn't understand why they weren't allowed to tell (mildly) racist jokes anymore because those were "offensive" in the 90s. Now it's gender issues instead of race, and the word "offensive" has been replaced by "problematic". Okay, grandpa, I get it. I'm sorry.

I mean, I don't want to tell racist jokes per se, but I'm damned tired of basically innocent fun being shit on because someone else gets a power kick out of it. I say, bring back the days of the equal-opportunity offender. No one's offensive if no one's safe!

The 90s had the advantage of being a period when being fair and forward-thinking still meant "don't treat people different because of their race/sex".

Now everything sucks.

I blame social media for so much of what has gone wrong with society since the 90s. Growing up we didn't have the constant bombardment of bullshit and stupid opinions ( except the ones from idiots friends and family or course). But then Myspace and DeviantArt and LiveJournal happened and we began a downward spiral into everyone needing to be unique and special.

Think about if a white dude goes off on how blacks are treated he will get shit cause he is the wrong skin color to be saying that....oh wait it s just so some shit lord can feel good shutting him down same with mansplaining and the other shit.
