Social Justice Warriors - Now With Less Feminism Sperging

It depends. If it's about a website deleting comments based on ideology, they go Full Ayn Rand and claim the *only* thing capable of censorship is the government. But if capitalism doesn't go their way, it's part of the "cis white supremacist capitalist patriarchy" which is pretty much the worst thing ever. Doublethink is in full force here.

By definition, censorship is governmental. More casually, "censorship" is used as a term for any regulation of speech, no matter who is doing it. Such corporate "censorship" can be bad for society, but generally represents a different kind of threat.

Most people who urge censorship call it something else, of course, and it's always good when applied to their enemies, and always terrible when applied to them.

Curiously, those most vehemently in support of "hate speech" laws are usually, themselves, incredibly hateful assholes.

I'm surprised anon didn't come back with something about how using the suffix -ess (like with waitress, actress, stewardess, etc) is sexist because are you implying that women need to be separated from their male colleagues????

Hahaha nah

Also, isn't MSNBC sort of like the liberal version of Fox News? I'm not at all surprised.

This is the dumbest statement ever for both pro-life and pro-choice people because
  • Fetuses can be aborted, ie killed, and it's perfectly legal up to a certain point of the fetus's development
  • If you murder a woman for any reason other than self-defense, you'll go to jail for decades, if not for the rest of your life

So, so many things to unpack here...
  • "It's wrong to generalize people and hold them accountable for things that they never did!!!!" *proceeds to generalize an entire race and holds them accountable for things that they never did*
  • The whole "WHITE PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SLAVERY!!!!!" rhetoric is so moronic it makes me want to bash my head against a wall. The word "slave" comes from "Slav," aka the super ridiculously white people who have a long history of slavery and indentured servitude. Plus, slavery has been around since the dawn of mankind. No one group is or has ever been "responsible" for it; almost everyone has done it at some point in time.
  • Since Muslims were brought up, I'd like to mention a little something called the Arab slave trade. It began in the 7th century; the trans-Atlantic slave trade didn't begin until the 16th century. Although historical evidence is sketchy, most historians agree that between 650 and 1900, 10 to 18 million people were enslaved by Arab slave traders and taken from Africa as well as Europe and Asia. JUST SAYING.
  • And obviously, the vast majority of Americans during the slavery era didn't actually own slaves. Or even if they did, it was usually only a few. The only people who owned dozens of slaves were rich plantation owners, which there weren't very many of.
  • I love the ending line about white people's ancestors being poor and racist. Literally almost every single person in the history of mankind up until just a couple of hundred years ago was poor and racist, you dolt.

I saw that video. A white guy praises Paul Ryan for working hard to get to where he is and then this lady starts ranting on a subject that has nothing to with it. Is she so thin-skinned that she has to make this about her personal dramas?

Here's the video if you're curious. If you look closely, you can see that guy mouth "what the fuck?" at 0:52.

This was so much more amazing than I could have ever hoped for.

His face when she started ranting and raving like a madwoman was incredible:

Although it depends on how you define "racist." Some people see racism everywhere, especially where there's none.

Well, I mean, you have to admit that in the past people were racist as fuck. Being openly racist was completely acceptable until just a few decades ago.

SJWs often blow modern-day racism way the fuck out of proportion, but just a cursory glance at how certain groups (blacks, Jews, hell, even Irishmen) were talked about in the olden days would make a bigot blush.

Oh I'm not denying that real racism existed. Although I doubt everyone in the past were always deliberately and actually racist with evil intent, as there were both good and bad people then just as there are now. The same can be said of other kinds of discrimination.

Oh, no, I would never hold someone who was racist in 1560 to the same standards as someone who's racist in 2015. They just didn't know any better.

That's why I laugh when I see people sometimes try to discredit historical figures by digging up quotes and the like by them that are racist/sexist/etc. That sort of thing was the norm back then; the ones who held egalitarian beliefs were the exceptions.

These people don't seem to get that humanity is constantly growing and learning. I almost feel like by trying to show off how progressive they are they're hindering real progress.

I didn't see any coverage of this, so it must have had limited international media coverage.

Not sure if any of you are familiar with feminist warrior Germaine Greer? She's old school.

Anyway, she recently said trans-men/women (whatever I get confused) can't actually be the sex they think they are, because it's fundementally impossible. Cue the modern SJW feminnits who accuse her of 'trans-mysoginy' and being an outdated hack. They even attempted to get her banned from addressing Cardiff University.

Even knob-head dawkins couldn't resist inserting his enormous wisdom into the titfight.

Fucking hilarious. It's like a multi-generational mobius strip.

I heard about this. I don't remember exactly how she said it, but part of her reasoning on the subject was that men who undergo gender reassignment surgery are somehow viewed as better than real women because they used to be men, and if they really wanted to be women they would insist on getting womb transplants. :\

If you missed last night's South Park, it targeted Tumblrina fangirls again. The entire episode revolves around how fangirls make yaoi fanart of the characters (it specifically focuses on Tweak and Craig, two secondary characters).

By this point I think it's safe to say that this entire season is going to be one giant middle finger pointed at the PC police and Tumblrinas. I can't wait until the big finale!

Deviantart did it first.

I never understood the appeal behind South Park Yaoi art. All the boys are like, 10.

I hope future episodes cover cultural appropriation bullshit, radical feminism, triggers and shaming people for being white and male, since they've already gone over the basics and shit like hugboxes. Then we'll truly have the ultimate anti-tumblr TV show.

unfortunately some people are into the little boys, even if they are paper cut outs apparently

I never understood yaoi/yuri either. Not all love between two people needs to be gay, even if we are starting to accept it.
