My son woke me up super excited. It had rained during the night and he wanted to jump in the puddles outside. So I played with my son outside in the morning sun while my wife made us pancakes. Then we went inside and had pancakes for breakfast. Our baby just learned to crawl like a week ago and he’s already starting to stand up and all he wants to do is practice standing and walking. So after breakfast I held his hands and we walked around all over the house and his face was beaming the entire time.

The we met up with some friends with similar aged kids and went to the park and played and had ice cream.

Then we went home to our house, both my family and their, had dinner and then I trimmed our hedge while the kids played in the yard.

It might not seem like much but I kept thinking about how blessed I am and what a wonderful day it was. It was one of those days that I will look back on with fondness for the rest of my life. I love my family.

Set up outdoor planters with a bunch of native perennials, only to discover the local dog walkers are assholes and are letting their dogs piss all over my new plants. Also found out they've been letting their dogs piss on my gas meter. Spent this weekend dog proofing and spraying liquid fence everywhere. Shitty to average weekend.

My husband finally felt the baby kick for the first time on Father's Day.
It was a magical moment, immediately spoiled by another kick straight to the bladder.
Later on, the baby stretched so hard we could clearly see where the foot or hand was pressing out through my skin. My husband reacted with the sort of utter shock usually reserved for Resident Evil-style body horror.
I don't think he's going to ask to feel the baby kick anymore lol.

That's not much, it's the most. Except for my plan to [something political that is extremely autistic and inevitably involves mass murder on a scale that would make Mao blush]

My weekend was great, got a bunch of tree branches that needed it lopped off, finished trimming the bushes, general yard and housework, place looks so neat and good. All I gotta do is mow the lawn one more time at the end of the month and shit is gonna be spectacular for the Fourth of July weekend cookout

Father's Day gets me kind of down these days because my father is dead but I try to make the best of it. Cooked his favorite meal that he taught me to make when I was younger and went to go visit his grave. Otherwise not bad, mostly been playing pokemon like a retard.
