There's typically someone where I live, who I've never seen, that's super nice and clears out nearby walking trails. That didn't happen this year, and no one I've talked to actually knows who was doing it, so I just hope they're OK. That's alright if they've decided to stop; I'm grateful they did it for as long as they did.
However... Now plant life that's usually mowed is taking over. I swear these plants only touched my pants, but something gave me a horrible allergic reaction that's mostly evident on my arms. I thought I got bit up by bugs but that's not what's going on with me. The lotion I put on is helping a lot but it's still disgusting to look at. I hope it clears up quick X_X
Otherwise, I do appreciate there's so many cute/friendly dogs around my neighborhood. I love this fat little chihuahua named Gus who insists that everyone has to pet him.
Pretty decent. Just woke up from a nap after getting back from visiting my dad. We had pizza while I was there. Yesterday I donated some kitten food to my local animal shelter and bought a couple of little Christmas cactuses because I hoard succulents now.
I have a wheel of swedish port salut. I slice it and melt it on a toasted bacon sandwich, with tomatoes and salad, and just a little pepper. It melts perfectly. It also melts similarly nicely on a classic cheese burger. I recommend it.
Nice, i made lamb burgers for my family. Bought the meat from a local butcher who we've know for 5 years and we shoot the shit with every time we see him. Cooked the burgers with cumin chili flakes fennel salt peppercorn and garlic powder, with feta and minced garlic worked into the meat. Roasted the lamb in thr oven for 15 minutes then pan-seared for 2 minutes. Pan-seared ciabatta rolls for the bun in the lamb juices, then added onion tomato avocado. good shi
Holding down the fort at work on a busy weekend and pulling good money on tips, so I think I'll buy another bottle of Scotch when I get the chance.
Crashed the fuck out earlier this week over a painting not turning out right and was tempted to start over but I got some motivation to give it some more work. I know I'm just being overly hard on myself, the comments I get on my art lately are so nice and it makes me really happy.
