If I were to guess I don’t think death has as much of an impact anymore for Chris since C-194 is basically his heaven where all dead love ones go to and by daydreaming he thinks he’s visiting there and with the merge soon happening (In his head) it mean’s he’ll be able to see them all in person too.
The fact that Chris cannot feel anymore for death besides his delusions seeing that reincarnation into CWCville is where we'll go is just troubling in my honest opinion. I know that people cope with death in different ways, we want to believe in Religion sometimes to help us think past the thought of inevitable demise. I don't know what to say about Chris thinking the way he does of the afterlife, besides that it's sad and stupid due to his literal God Complex, but there's something that also kind of resonates with all people who do believe in some sort of after.
