It's a problem of slow nodes and/or bridges, not Tor in general. Meek-azure, for example, will almost always give you this experience and there's no way around it aside from maybe setting the timeout threshold higher.

why don't I have access to the general chat
 
Editing a message with an any & < > will cause them to be replaced with &amp; &lt; &gt;. It's impossible to add them to a message you edit.
 
Was advised to message my issue. I'm using an android tablet with wifi connection to home NBN. Still having issues in chat where I have to log out of KF and log back in to be able to actually post messages. Many will disappear though so I'm routinely now copy/pasting to save them to repost. Plus typing my messages is agonisingly slow in BP chat (the only chat I use). Posting forum messages is fine though

I am a respected lolcow who is very distressed by my difficulties in chat, which resemble this even though I use no tor or proxy whatsoever. This only applies on my home connection which may be afflicted by the glow. I have a similar problem with IRC (no matter the IRC network).

Due to my schizophrenia it is hard to figure things out; if you have any way to assist I would be glad to listen.

Is it technically possible to reuse already existing chat connections when opening new tabs on top of Xenforo? I tend to open multiple tabs for reading and every single one seems to be making a separate connection.

IRC works mostly the same as Sneedchat, I think. Failing to respond to ping pong requests from the server gets you booted. If your Internet connection is normally fast, there may be regular cuts due to your WiFi router or just ass cabling by your ISP, neighbors using the same WiFi frequency ranges, etc. A lot of mobile networks also suffer from this constant peaks and valleys shit. You'd need a program that monitors your Internet speed and plots it on a graph to check.

In some rare cases I've personally experienced, extremely retarded ISPs seem to start dropping your connections randomly when there's no constant incoming/outgoing traffic. Taking my example of Tor on a meek-azure bridge, if you ping a random IP that doesn't mind that, like 1.1.1.1, on repeat using the same connection, Sneedchat starts dropping about 50% less frequently.
 
Sneedchat issue- Chat seems to be stuttering for everyone right now. Still usable, but it is disconnecting and reconnecting people. Hope this helps as a data point.
