I have a decade old Phillips one. It's still running just fine. And nicest of all it has an internal logic bat so even if power goes out or someone accidentes the socket to plug something in nothing happens.

Wife got me a Morphy Richards basic bitch crockpot. It has a dial on the front, and a neon light. I also have a cast iron deep pan that I use for most of my stewing. I made pea soup with a pork shoulder. Both work great, though the Morphy is much more fire and forget. Throw some sausages in there with a bunch of shit and some tinned tomatoes. Can't go wrong.

An instantpot got me through multiple years as a poor student and slave worker with high student loans. I still use it to meal prep 6-10 meals per week. It's the best kitchen investment I could recommend, besides some good dishware.

The best 20 bucks I ever spent on a kitchen appliance was some no name slow cooker I got at a garage sale. I wildly overpaid, but I don't care because I have never been able to come as close to perfectly cooked baked beans as I have with that slow cooker. If someone put a gun to my head and told me I can either have Israel or the slow cooker, I'd take the slow cooker every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
