I think sketch comedy is pretty great. When it's done right, it's hilarious. And best of all, the format of sketch comedy means that even if one sketch sucks, the rest are probably solid enough to carry the rest of the show.
So here's a place where we can talk about and post our favorite sketches!
Lately I've been watching Key and Peele. While not every sketch entertains me, the ones that do are so fantastic I watch them at least twice. Here are some of my favorites:
I usually watch SNL (Love the late 80s-early 00s stuff; recent years have been pretty hit-or-miss.)
That being said, I've been checking out some of Jim Carrey's older material from "In Living Color." One of my favorites have to be the "Overly-Confident Gay Man":
