You know, this one isn't so bad! The hand is jank as hell, but as far as "black Tina Belcher" this design isn't too awful. The fucking color scheme is what's really ruining this piece.

What is it with SJWs and making their art dark and murky, like it's being seen through a glass of beer? Why does everything have a yellowed tinge, why aren't there pure whites (or why are the off-whites so dark and dingy??) Is it supposed to be subversive like "I don't use pretty colors because Ugly Can Be Beautiful Too"? Is it supposed to be punk or edgy like kustom kulture?? Why would you draw something sweet and fluffy, or generally not meant to be repulsive, like it's punk or edgy? Is that the subversion It's like using cinnamon on a taco just because you discovered what cinnamon is.

Literally all you have to do is adjust the colors and it looks leaps and bounds better! The main color of this piece is pink, right? Emphasize the pink!!

I'm still convinced that the reason this is so common is because people make a finished drawing and just go in after it's done and lower the brightness on the character's hair and skin until it's just barely visible against the lineart. Every time there's something like this posted here, if you take it into Photoshop and lighten the skin and hair only, you can tell someone drew it that way before darkening it up in post. That's gotta be what everyone is doing.

People that dark exist in real life but goddamn if you want to draw them and not have it look like a disaster you have to adjust the background to something lighter and the lineart for facial features to be lighter than the skin and make it mesh well because otherwise they look like... well, that. Gappy looks like he's having a mental breakdown on 1 and a half hours of sleep.

The overly trying hard to be muscular is just too much. It looks as if they have no idea how to proportionate the muscles with all of the limbs and it comes off as just like how Araki was doing when he was making fun of that trope. The shonen character has too much muscles in one shot; which was a joking jab for Fist of the North Star in the first/two parts.

The black one isn't so bad. They actually made dreadlocks look pretty cool.

Damn, the first two are utterly and disgracefully atrocious. Setting someone who wears that on fire would be an act of charity. The last one would be passable, but damn... At least fetish and NSFW art get to the point fairly quickly as they try their best to be appealing to their target demographic. Or at least to be appealing in some sort of way that you think it's freaky, but someone beats their meat to.

But with body positive stuff it's extremely confusing to the point that they are so unappealing to the eye, you cannot think that there is someone that can seriously beat their meat to that. But at the same time, the stuff you've seen in your life has taught you that maybe, just maybe, some sick degenerate might beat his meat to that.
