As a fan of Wadanohara I can easily recognize the characters, the faces are off but nothing exceptionally crazy.
Thankfully they didn't make them fat, black and trans.

If I had saggy tits and buck teeth, the last thing I would do is love the shit out of those.
This isn't bad at all. Xamag's one of few artists lately that can make characters diverse and not abominations.

Modern Western anime is one of the worst art styles I've seen. They're butchering the hell out of the original style for an agenda and laziness to improve. They don't realise that they're putting a western spin on an eastern art form and think they're making a Japanese craft. Stuff like this makes me miss the 2000s anime style (and the bad fan art that makes the eyes way to damn large).
I guess now of all times would be a good time to marathon some anime I've missed out on sack in the day since things have gone downhill.

i mean, 2004 teen titans and avatar the last airbender are the only western animations i can think of at the moment that had an animesque art style. they were both pretty nice to look at imo. no offense but you kinda sound like a weeaboo here

Soooo, someone made a "human" version of Tails from sonic.
And of course, it looks nothing like him. He didn't even bother to give him yellow hair at the bare minimum, he just drew a random black kid with yellow shorts, plus blue wristbands for some reason, I can't explain. Tails never wears anything of the sort in the games. He even missed the single most important part of the character, his literal namesake, his two fucking TAILS.
And, as you can probably guess, people pointed this out, so the author went into full damage control mode.
And of course they'd cry racism too.
There's tons of asskissing in the comments from people who deliberately want to ignore how out of place this design is as well, because that's Twitter for you.

The worst part about this is that Black Kid seems like a pretty cool character, I'd follow him on adventures, the art is good, the style is fun. Unfortunately, Black Kid is just a black kid (that could probably be a random.txt thing.) That's not Tails in the slightest. People aren't upset that this Tails is black, he's a fucking fox, I could honestly see Tails as being a black kid. That was a thing in the 90s I think, lil black sidekick dude, like Smokey from Battle Tendency. People are upset that a redesigning a character as black gets used as an shield against judgment when the problem is the execution. If you want to "draw for yourself", don't post it.

If the art contains vitiligo (or dark tan/black charas) , fatasses, lgbtqrstuv+ flags everywhere, & Tumblr humor it's SJW.
That art kinda gives of 2010 Tumblr era (back when the Marvel fandom and SuperWhoLock fandom were big) art style imo

It kinda depends on the art style of the person; I've seen artists implement those in their style yet have animesque art, while others add too much red to the point where it looks like either a bad rash or sunburn.
