Right politics and knowing right people. Hollywood and lesser degree other forms of movie and tv entertaiment industry are very insular. Too many people want to get in and it's impossible to give everyone a change to prove themselves so personal connections and stuff like that are super important. Most likely he is nephew or gay bestie of someone or their wife and got this opportunity that way.

That to be said there is another way. If you don't really know anyone there is fairly effective back door and that is vanity projects. Get someone important feel good or at least to avoid looking bad. Right now minorities are in and looking progressive gets hip social media clicks so these get to be purse pets.

At least the whole PPG Jared thing was (allegedly) some joke coincidence the VA had no idea about, this on the other hand is straight up creepy. No only they're self inserting into a story they wrote (Angel debuted in a episode they wrote btw), but also pushing their own propaganda in the show and outside the show by drawing the cast covered in gay fetish gear and sexuality flags.

As an animator, I get why storyboarders often has to draw fast and sketchy, but shitty storyboard make work of animator harder. You make an animation, like first draft and then you are sent critique that action you animated is not what storyboarder meant.
Like on this picture

You animated character talking with hunched shoulders and then you are told that no, this character is SHRUGGING, how can you not get it. And animate his expression a bit, isn't that clear.


Also, I know I posted this ages ago, but SJWs so often has/draw hair like this XVII century Polish noble and it makes me laugh.

How?! How do you look at this and think it's okay? You're a "professional" working on a (assumedly popular) show! Do the showrunners not care that you brag about ripping them off on Twitter, or can they not dump your ass because you're a genderspecial in current year Hollywood? I’m still stuck on that Luz one. Even when people give them the brown people they want, characters still get black washed and get drawn several shades darker.

To an extent, I think the forum is forgetting that you generally have an idea of who/what you are by the time you're a teenager. It's not like being gay in and of itself is hypersexual and degenerate, no moreso than being straight. The Craig of the Creek thing a few pages back was eh, and I'm no fan of the kids transitioning trend, but by and large 14-year-olds are aware of who they're attracted to. It's not "SEXUALIZING LITERAL CHILDREN!!" to acknowledge teenagers can be gay. 12-16 is a normal age to recognize your sexuality (you just shouldn't be having sex that young, especially not with adults.)

I was going by the description of a boa someone used altho calling it fetish gear is probably too far. Either way it depends on what culture you're from i guess.

Potential powerlevel but i'm from brasil which is a rather catholic country and boás / plume scarfs are more associated by media with drag queens, gay figures and mature comedy so i wouldnt call them "family friendly". They're not inherently fetishistic but they are pratically never worn casually, only popular during carnival when adult men want to make cheap "gay costumes". The more conservative, old and/or religious brazilians might think a shirtless young boy wearing a boa is degeneracy but brasil is a big country so that can also vary.
