Dude actually looks like that in canon (at least the weird shit that's on his body). Context is that he got eaten by worms, burned on one hand, and has prematured greying hair. (The characters all joke that he's turning old). Jonathan Sims from the Magnus Archives, if you're curious. It's one of those podcast shows, but it's pretty good.

In my Opinion if you wanna make a redesign of a characters Clothing design, sure go for it but why do they always make em look so boring, there is nothing really unique about these. The first two look like trapeze artists and the second one looks like a gymnast wearing a jacket.
