I've noticed tumblr loves to guilt trip people into free attention boosting for their shitty art. I see "only 8 notes for my hideous caricature of an anime girl? Smells like racism/transphobia/whatever" and a whole lot of "if you like someone's art instead of reblogging you are lazy and selfish."
I get the sentiment, it's rough to put hours of work into a piece only for it to go unnoticed. But am I wrong in thinking this is like being forced to pin your nephew's ugly macaroni picture on the fridge? Except at least those are cute because little kids made them, not teenage artists who don't understand how the internet works.

They're using the LGBT flag, which represents gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people, to represent gay men
They took an all-encompassing flag and ignorantly reduced it to only one facet of what it stands for, further contributing to the splintering of the LGBT community.

I hate how they oversimplify ugliness, it's so much more subtle than blimp lips, acne, and british teeth.
It's the slight lack of symmetry in the facial structure.
It's small details that are beyond their ability to accurately portray.
Basically, what i'm trying to say is that ugliness is actually beautiful. That's why women should want me. I'm unique, guys.

Didn't the more Tumblr side of the fandom hate him because the symbol on his shield and mace were the same symbols used for Crusaders? Besides that what you posted reminded me of another terrible redesign a personal lolcow of mine did before I stopped paying attention to them
The fandom hating him for being white was more or less a few people got pissy because he was released alongside another cookie who was implied to be "black" and they unironically thought Devsis was wacist because said "black" character was much more aggressive compared to Milk Cookie.

true, also apparently the sign was a medical sign and Tumblr just couldn't take it. I remember somewhere around the release a couple of Tumblr users harrassed someone over twitter for not altering the characters design to their liking. this isn't uncommon in the CR fandom sadly
