I honestly don't mind the inclusion of LGBT characters, but why put headcannons on those who are pre-established? Especially when there's zero evidence at all?
I've always headcanoned Erika as the most femme of lesbians, which is not really a stretch given how it's noted her gym is full of women.
It's projection/wish fulfillment/virtue signalling. Yesterday's improbable Mary Sues are today's vitiligo trans.
I have a feeling the artist was just like "Hapu has such a unique design, I'm going to totally ape it for my OC." Which is a shame. Hapu is one of a kind, leave her alone.
